Chapter 12

Laura's POV
I just finished my pizza and yes I ate the whole box. What can I say? Pizza is my life! I threw away the pizza box in my trash can in my room and then decided to take a shower. I grabbed an outfit from my closet then I walked into my bathroom and I closed the door behind me. I took off my clothes and set them aside as I turned on the water to the shower. I waited for the water to get warm before I got in. While I was in the shower I washed my hair and my body then I rinsed off all of the soap. My shower lasted longer than I intended because I just started singing and I lost track of how long I was in the shower. I turned off the water and then got out of the shower. I dried off and then I got dressed into my outfit that is more on the casual side considering I have like zero plans for the day. I took my hairbrush and brushed out my wet, tangled hair as well. I walked back into my bedroom and then sat on my bed. Just then my phone went off. I picked it up and it was a text from Lia. I opened up the text and read it. My heart instantly sank.

TEXTS

Lia❤️: we need to talk...

Laura: oh no.. you never start off your texts like this.... what's up? :(

Lia❤️: I have some awful news😭

Laura: What is it?!😭💔

Lia❤️: I think it would be better to FaceTime you to tell you

Laura: ok..

My phone then started getting a call from Lia so I obviously answered it. But right when I did she was crying..

"Lia what is the matter?! If Zach hurt you he's gonna get it!" I Said irritated and worried as she wiped away the tears that ran down her face.

"No, Zach didn't hurt me... I have to move..." she said with a sad expression.

My heart just broke.

"How far away and when?" I Asked trying to hold back the tears that wanted to spill from my eyes.

"To Maine and I leave tomorrow."
She said not making eye contact with me through the screen.

"That's all the way across the country!! Why do you have to move anyway?!" I Asked.

"I know it's really far and it sucks. We have to move because my parents couldn't pay off the house bills so they kicked us out and the only family we have that will let us stay with them, they live in Maine." She explained.

"Well I need to see you!" I said now crying at this point.

"Meet me at our spot in 20?" She asked.

I nodded my head.

"Definitely." I responded with a slight smile as she smiled back.

I ended the call and then I headed out the door to our spot. Basically it's the shore of the beach where we met and it's like a special place for us since we wouldn't even know each other if we hadn't met each other that one day there. I started walking down the road until I reached the beach. I walked over to our spot and Lia was already there. I ran to her as fast as I could and hugged her. I practically jumped in her arms so we both lost balance and fell onto the sand. We both laughed before standing up. We brushed off the sand from our clothes before we began to walk down the beach and talk.

"My Mom is making me go to a summer camp there." Lia said.

"What why?!" I asked confused.

"She thinks it'll be 'good for me' and that I'll possibly make new friends." Lia explained shrugging her shoulders.

"Well what do you think about the camp?" I Asked curiously.

"I hate the idea! We aren't aloud to have our phones and there's no service! You and I won't be able to talk for a while!" She said frowning.

I frowned too and then we hugged.

"Have you told Zach?" I Asked.

She just looked out at the ocean, ignoring my question.

"Lia?!" I Asked.

"No I didn't..." she said.

"Why not?" I Asked.

"Because I don't know what to do!" She said.

"What's the problem? Lia tell me." I said worried.

"I think I have to break up with Zach." She said sadly.

"But why? Can't you guys just have a long distance relationship?" I Asked confused.

"Those rarely work out and besides, I won't even have service for three months because of the stupid camp so we won't really get to talk." She said sadly.

"Well when do you plan on telling him?" I Asked.

"I should probably do it now." She said sighing.

"I'll come with you." I Said as she responded by nodding her head.

I just gave her a hug and we both started walking back. We headed back to my house and we called an Uber to take us to the boys' house. The drive didn't last too long. Once we arrived I paid the Uber driver and then Lia and I both got out of the car. We walked up to the door and knocked. A couple seconds later Corbyn came to the door.

"Lia! Laura! What are you all doing here?" He Asked surprised but happy.

"I just was coming to say hi and Lia has some news for Zach." I Said.

Corbyn nodded and led us inside. I followed him and so did Lia as he walked into the living room where all the boys were. As soon as Jack saw me he started smiling and then he ran over to hug me.

"You missed me that bad huh?" I Asked giggling.

"DUHH." He responded smiling.

We let go from the hug and I noticed Lia about to cry.

"Babe what's wrong?" Zach asked her.

Everyone looked concerned and I just looked sad.

"Can we talk?" Lia said.

Zach nodded and they went off to talk somewhere. I think Daniel, Corbyn, Jonah, and Jack noticed my sad expression because they all looked at me wanting an answer to why Lia is upset.

"She has to move so she is breaking up with Zach." I Said sighing.

"What?! Why is she breaking up with him?" Asked a very confused Daniel.

"Can't they just do a long distance relationship?" Asked Corbyn.

"Yea, can't they?" Asked Jonah.

"She said she can't because her parents are making her go to a summer camp for a few months and they don't allow phones so they won't get to talk for a while and on top of that, long distance relationships rarely ever work out." I explained.

They all nodded understandingly. A few moments later Zach and Lia came back into the room..
