Losing Control

Grayson, Mia, and Drake walked through the badlands as they headed towards Drake's house. Little did they know someone was fallowing them, with an mission from the emperor to injure the hybrid so they could come in so after and easily capture the traitor and elf. However she knew two fact about her target he was also an mage as she was, and he was very quick being that he was half endermen. The group turn around with weapons drawn as they heard her drop out of a tree. She hits both Grayson and Mia with an air based spell throwing them back, they both land on there backs. Drake's attention goes fully towards his two friends. Seeing her opportunity she hits Drake with the spell that the emperor told her to. Instantly seeing the affects of the spell on the hybrid's magic she teleports away. "Drake what's going on?!" Mia asks as Drake's magic activated. However, the two blonds know something was horribly wrong when Drake's magic looked almost corrupted. "T-The spell is mak-making me l-lose control of-of my m-magic." Drake explains as he tried not to let anything happen. "G-get away f-from me-me!" Drake says as he started to lose complete control of any of his magic. "No we aren't just going to leave you here." Grayson says back. "Tell us how we can help you." Mia says taking a step towards Drake. However the second she does a line of fire appears in front of Drake. "Your going to kill them, just like you did to Armen." Drake spins around hearing HIM as if he was right behind him. Seeing Drake weak HE decides to mess with the hybrid. Drake tries to attack HIM even though he can't see HIM, but having no control over his magic he ends up blowing himself up. Drake falls to the ground both in pain and being overwhelmed. Finally seeing the final opportunity the other soldiers surround the now vulnerable fugitives. They quickly take both Mia and Grayson down and but handcuffs on them as they were distracted by the hybrid. Seeing that Drake had no use to them as the emperor didn't have any interest in him. They take the two new prisoners away leaving the mage to be eaten alive by his own magic. "Drake!" Mia cries out for the mage. Both hoping he could help them and not wanting to leave him now that he was horribly hurt. "Please just someone help us, with the hell we have been though he, we don't deserve this" Grayson says under his breath. In Drake giving up in trying to keep control of his magic, the ground around him sets on fire even the trees. All of them sit there and watch as Drake gets to his feet and looks up at them, with his eye glowing white. Drake gets tossed to the back of his mind under lock and key. Out of no where lighting strikes and kills everyone besides Grayson and Mia. "Leave Drake alone!" Mia yells at the demon. "Oh but I want him to watch as he kills his only family as he did Armen." HE says smiling. The two blonds get thrown back as the ground under there feet move almost like and wave. They both try to get to their feet but find it difficult with handcuffs on. As HE approaches Mia with Drake's sword in HIS hand dragging through the dirt as he walked closer. "Drake please stop!" Mia yells as fear grabs a hold of her. In Drake's mind with Mia saying that Drake finds away and unlocks the the door and rushes out into a weird room. He spots a shadow looking thing which was HIM because he didn't have a body anymore. Drake runs and punches HIM in the face. Drake quickly regains control of himself and drops the sword in his hand. His magic was lucky now in control however he was now feeling the affects of blowing himself up and using so much magic. "Drake?" Mia questions. "Yeah it's me lucky." Drake says helping the elf up. Grayson who had already gotten out of his handcuffs from the trick he learned while he was an commander, walks over and takes the handcuffs off Mia. "I really need some rest." Drake says as his whole body now hurt from everything that had happen. "I would imagine." Grayson says back half jokingly. The three of them set up a small camp and as always Grayson keep watch as Mia and Drake both slept, and Mia then took the second half of the night to keep watch. She wasn't very use in doing so though, being that Drake usually stayed watch most of the night being he only needed a few hours of sleep. In the morning Drake ends up drinking a whole heath potion before they continued walking back to his house.
