Story I One: Magic Sickness

Drake sat next to the fire keeping watch as his two friends slept as he did most of the time. As Grayson and Mia would switch turns during a night and kept watch every once and awhile. However it was usually Drake's job to keep watch being he only need about two hours a night of sleep. Grayson and Mia always made sure to wake up early to let Drake sleep for a bit before they needed to head out for the day. Tonight they were staying in Drake's and Armen's Old house, little to Drake's liking though. The house always creeped him out, it felt like someone is watching him at all moments. An apple falls through the hole in the ceiling and Drake stands up, walks over and picks it up. He goes and sits back down and eats the apple being hungry. A few hours pass when Drake hears a noise and turns around to be face to face with an nightmare. He quickly tries to do a spell made to light up the room to scare it off. However he ends up setting the room on fire which does scare it off, however when Drake tries to put it out it only gets bigger. "Drake what's going on?" Mia yells at the mage from the top of the stairs. "Something is messing with my magic." Drake explains deactivating his magic not wanting to screw anything else up. "We need to get out of here." Mia says back running in grabbing her stuff along with Grayson. They rush outside and start walking away from the house. "I'm sorry." Drake says after about ten minutes of walking. "Drake don't worry about what happened." Mia says calmly. "Right now we need to find some where for you to rest. Your shaking, I don't know why your are but still you need to get some sleep." Grayson explains. "Oh jeez Drake your shaking a lot are you Alright?" Mia adds. "Yeah the thing that messing with my magic is an magic sickness of sorts." Drake explains. "How long will it last?" Grayson ask. "My guess for a few days, I probably got it from that apple I ate last might. Being this sickness has to be given to me by another mage." Drake says back. "We can stay at the inn we met Mia in as that's the closest thing near by. Anyways Drake how messed up does this make your magic?" Grayson questions. "Well I tried to teleport back there and it didn't even work, and that's one of the few spells I mastered so." Drake answers. They walk to the inn and pay for the day Grayson and Mia stayed down stairs as Drake rested.

Story Two: I Rather Die

"Drake run!" Mia yells at the mage. Mia sat on the ground with Grayson pulled close to her as he had gotten knocked out. Mercenaries where surrounding the mage in who the emperor asked them to bring to him. Drake gets knocked to the ground as they put handcuffs on him which canceled out his magic. He doesn't remember anything after that, when he does come to he finds him self in a dark cell. Along with that he still had handcuffs on but this time he was chained to the wall. The door to his cell opens and the emperor walks in, Drake doesn't look up at him. "So your the mage all my men are scared of, your quiet pathetic looking." He says walking over and grabbing Drake's chin to make him look up him. "Just get to the point why did you take me here?!" Drake questions. "Well I'm going to get you to kill both that elf and the traitor." The emperor answers . "Well to begin with you had the full chance to kill both of them back there once i got knocked out. And I rather be killed the most painful way possible instead of even hurt either of them" Drake says back. "I didn't kill them because I wanted you to have an punishment too. Even a worse one then your two friends, so I have one of my mages who knows how to make you kill them. Then you will be stuck in a cell the rest of your pathetic life, knowing your the one who killed your so called friends." Emperor explains. Three days later Mia and Grayson walked up to the empire's gate there to find Drake. Surprisingly the gate was left opened and the place seemed abandoned. They walk into the empire to find the emperor standing in the middle of the place with Drake next to him. It was only the two of them there. As the emperor killed so many people everyone living in the empire left. The emperor begins to clap. "Well done you found your friend, to bad this will be a very bitter reunion when your both dead." He says to the blonds. "Are you really going to try to kill us by yourself?" Grayson questions. "No, but he will." The emperor explains. Drake looks at the emperor who says an command in the same language mages speak in. Drake turns to the elf and human and grabs his sword. "What did you do to him!" Mia yells. "Let's just say he is under my control now." And with that Drake attacks Mia quickly knocking her on the ground and puts a spell on her paralyzing her. He then turns to Grayson and tries to hit him with his sword but Grayson's sword met his. "Drake please snap out of this." Grayson begs. An memory flashes though Drake's head however it wasn't one of his own. It was one of Colin's however it was Armen saying the same words as Grayson had just said. The memory of his little brother snaps Drake out of it slightly. As Grayson felt the pressure of Drake's sword against his own lessen he takes the opportunity to say something that he was sure would snap the mage out of what ever mind control he was under. "You promised Mia and I you would protect us, so please don't let him take another thing away from me. And don't let him take any thing from you." And as he suspected Drake's sword fell away from his. Drake then faced the emperor, he out stretches his arm outwards and drops his sword. "I will never kill my friends, but I will kill you. But if it makes you feel any better I won't use my sword." Drake explains. As if it happened instantaneous the emperor was on the ground with the mage standing over him. "Who's the pathetic one now?!" Drake says smiling. He then puts a spell on the emperor which drained his life force. And within seconds the emperor was dead. Drake's spell wares off on Mia who stands up. "I'm so sorry." Drake says now standing in front of his two friends. "No Drake this wasn't your fault!" Mia says quickly seeing the mage on the brink of tears. "I almost killed both of you!" Drake says back. "You were under mind control." Grayson explains. "But i should have been able to stop my self from getting captured to begin with." Drake says back. "You tried your best to stop all of this from happening, you can't give more then your best. There is one trait both humans elf's and even enderman hybrids share, we aren't perfect." Mia adds. "Come on we all need some rest." Grayson says. They all walk away from what use to be the empire, and go off each one of them thinking about there own things.
