"Tommy, come here." Newt said quietly, motioning Thomas over. The greenie trudged over, his feet heavy from running the maze.
"What's up?" He asked, hooking his thumbs in the backpack straps.
"Can I tell you something?" Newt whispered. Thomas made a face before nodding.
"You have to promise you can't tell anyone, okay? It's technically against the glade rules." Newt smirked, folding his arms over his chest.
"What? What rule?" Thomas asked, glancing around to make sure nobody heard.
"The one about staying away from Y/N." He said quietly. Thomas raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean by that?" He asked. Newt smiled, running a finger over his lip.
"Well...we've kinda been dating." Newt admitted, his smile growing.
"What? No way, dude. You lucky shank." Thomas said, looking at Newt with a confused but impressed look.
"How long?" Thomas asked at last. Newt licked his lips.
"Almost 3 months now." He said happily. He turned to look at you while you worked with the builders.
"What? 3 months and you never told anyone?" Thomas said. Newt nodded.
"Yeah, so don't ruin it now. I had to tell someone, or I would bloody explode."
"Well I won't tell anyone." Thomas nodded. Newt smiled again.
"Thanks greenie."
