-Makennas POV-

"Do you know how rare and fuckin scary it is to be carrying two hybrid witch babies" I start to cough rapidly as I sit in one of the living room chairs with beads of sweat running down my forehead.

Haley sits next to me, dabbing my forehead with a towel.

"I'm gonna die...aren't I?"

"I'm not going to let you die" Haley says softly.

"I feel like it" my breathing is choppy and my body is shaking uncontrollably.

Klaus walks into the room with a serious expression and I smile weakly.

He kneels in front of me and puts our foreheads together. "I will find a cure, I promise you" he kisses my sweetly and it only breaks because I start to cough again. "I love you" he brushed a strand of hair behind my ear and I start to cry.

"I'm dying"

"You won't die, I'm sure of it" he bites his lips and walks out of the room again to who knows where.

"Get her into the pool" Elijah starts to takes his shoes off and I have gotten to the point where I can barely breath.

"Her temperate is sky rocketing! She need to get in now!!" One of the witches says, Sofie? I think but I'm not entirely sure.

I close my eyes and grip my stomach as I wither in pain. "AHH!" I scream and feel someone pick me up and soon I feel the cold water of our pool consume my body.

I open my eyes and start to take deep breaths, I see Elijah staring down at me with sorrow and I gulp.

I try to speak but he shushes me. "Just listen to my voice and try to stay calm. You'll be ok"

He goes deeper down into the pool so only my head is above the water.

Elijah starts to speak about something but I wasn't paying attention, as I'm focused on my breathing.

I feel myself start to cool down and relief starts to wash over my body and I'm finally able to relax.

"How are you?" Klaus sits next to me as I lay under the white sheets on our bed.

"Tired" i whisper and Klaus runs his hands through my hair. He moves us so my head is resting on his lap and I flutter my eyes open. "I thought I was going to die. I was so sure of it" I shake and feel tears flood my eyes.

"I would have never let you die...never"

"Are the babies ok..?"

"They're fine, they're strong, just like you"

I pull my legs closer to my chest and Klaus continues to run his fingers through my hair, getting out all of the knots.

" I have to make a trip back to Mystic Falls tomorrow..." He pauses and I scowl. "Will you be ok?"

I sigh, wiping off the scowl Ann replacing it with a calm façade. "Yeah, I'll be fine"

"Ok, I love you. Never forget that"

"I love you too, now you never forget that"

I wake up, feeling the cold sheets that wrap around my body. I frown, remembering that klaus is probably half way to mystic falls by now.

I don't know what's up with that town but klaus can never stay away from it.

"Hola" I smile, already knowing who's at my door.

"Hola, Marcel" my voice is lasted with disappointment that I try to hide but I know he caught onto it.

He walks over and sits next to my legs.

"What's wrong?"

"I just wish klaus didn't always leave..." I move so I'm sitting up and looking at him. "He left right after I was cured...it's like I will only ever be important to him unless his life is also in the line. I'm the only thing that can kill him and I think he hates me for that" I release all my frustration and Marcel pulls me into a big protective hug.

"If he is stupid enough to hate you...then he isn't worth your time or love. But I will never hate you, I swear by that"

"I will never hate you either, I swear by that"

We sit there a little longer as I lay in his strong arms.

"So I heard you wanted Burger King a couple days ago, you still want it?"

I squeal and pull away from him. "Really?! Can we actually go? Will klaus get mad?! You know what, I don't care! I'm getting Burger King!!"

"Wha! You just passed the Burger King!" I hit the window and Marcel laughs.

"You don't want to go there, that Burger King is kind of janky, there's another one in 20 miles"

I sigh and nod "ok"

"What do you say?"

"Gracias"
