"Y/N, just man up and go tell her! I'm almost sure that she likes you as well! And the two of you could be such a cute couple! But you need to tell her how you feel! And if she doesn't feel the same, you will get over it and at least you know! At least you don't have your hopes up then anymore. So just go and tell her. You'll never know if you don't try. Just go. Tell her."
Lauren, my best friend, said to me, clearly annoyed with my whining ass, while trying to push me out of my bed, but I did not bulge. I really didn't want to tell Cara.
I've had this crush on Cara for forever now but I never acted on it. The only person who knew about it was Lauren and now she's pushing me to tell Cara about my feelings for her, because she doesn't like seeing me hurt all the time because Cara discusses everyone she likes with me.I was debating in my head if I should go tell Cara now or not. Because as Lauren already said, I will never know if I don't try and at least I will know it if I ask, I mean, what could go wrong? Except for the fact that Cara could crush my heart and make me feel miserable for the rest of this year if she doesn't like me back, which she probably doesn't.
"Look Y/N, I know it can be scary, trust me, I do, but you are not in a relationship by just clicking with your fingers! You have to put in work and effort! To get from one side to another, you have to jump, otherwise you will just stay stuck at the same point. So just take a leap of faith and take the jump. And just for you to remember, you will always have me! So, if it doesn't work out, I can be your buddy!"
"No, gross Lo! I'm not dating you! That would be like dating my sister! Gross! But what if I will fall while jumping? Then I'm dead! And I'm willing to put in work and effort, but I'm just scared that if I will fall, she will not be there to catch me!"
Lauren slapped me on my arm after I said that it would be gross to date her and when I was done speaking, I just groaned and crawled under my blanket. At least I was safe here.
I heard Lauren sigh before she pulled my blankets off of me again.
"Now get up and go tell Cara how you feel, before I go to her and tell her how you feel!"
I glared at Lauren and started getting ready to go to Cara. I quickly changed out of my sweats, and brushed my teeth, before going downstairs where Lauren stood waiting at the door with my jacket and my car keys in her hand.
"Good luck babe! Not that you need it, but anyways. I will be here waiting for you just in case it doesn't go like you hope it will. Now go and get your girl!"
She said while kissing my cheek and pushing me out of the door, before quickly shutting the door behind me. There was no going back now. I will just do it. I can do this. Let's go. I said to myself while walking to my car. I slowly got in and started driving to Cara's house. On the way there, I stopped at a florist to buy her a bouquet of roses, because I know she likes them
After ten minutes I arrived in front of Cara's house and I slowly got out of the car. My nerves were all over the place by now, and I felt like throwing up. I just kept thinking of happy things while slowly making my way over to her front door, clinging onto the flowers.
To my surprise the door was ajar, so I didn't bother knocking and I just made my way inside like I always did. I was afraid I murdered the flowers, because of my tight grip, so I tried loosening my grip a little bit, but it was quite difficult because of my nerves.
I looked everywhere on the ground floor, but Cara was nowhere in sight. I even called her name a few times, but she didn't respond. She was probably just in her bedroom or something. I decided to go upstairs and check.
While walking up the stairs I heard some muffled sounds and the closer I got to her bedroom, the louder it got. It almost sounded like someone was moaning? When I finally reached her bedroom door, I could see that it was ajar as well. I opened it a little bit more so that I could step inside, but when I set one foot inside, I immediately froze in my steps.
