Chapter 16:Did you hear me?

As I begin to walk into Noah and Sarah's home office I noticed Sarah sitting on Noah's lap as she and Noah looked online for more wedding stuff. Stopping in the door way, my eyes quickly went to Noah's hand that rested on her upper thigh. Shaking off the sudden jealousy, as I kept telling myself this is how it has to be. Clearing my throat both Noah and Sarah look up.

"Oh, come in!" Sarah says with a huge smile that was almost friendly and inviting.

"I called all the vendors and I arranged for them to show you two around and I also arranged for your engagement photo's to be tomorrow." I said.And then it happened, Sarah tilted her head to the side, and I suddenly remembered that Sarah Cristina was the devil in flesh. Her smirk that she had plastered on her face just made me want to slap her.

"You're not coming?" Sarah questioned.

"Uuuummmm, I wasn't planning to."

"Aww, why not, it'll be so much better if you'd came."

"Babe, Scarlett doesn't want to watch us take pictures." Noah says with his eyes locked on mines.

"But I need you, Scarlett!"

Sending her a closed fake smile knowing that if I resisted too much my job that I so desperately needed would be at risk, so I sigh as I rolled my eyes and replied. "Fine, I'll come."

"You will?"

Forcing a fake smile I nod my head and replied. "Mmhhmm."

Clapping her hands together Sarah says. "YAY!"

Sending yet another closed fake smile I replied. "Well if that's all, I'll be leaving now."

Waiting until she saw me turn to walk away Sarah says. "Actually, it's not."

Spinning around with the third closed fake smile for today I said. "Yes."

"Can you call all those vendors back and cancel?"

"What- why?" I asked.

Shrugging nonchalantly Sarah says. "Noah and I changed our minds, we're not really feeling those venues anymore."

I so badly wanted to not only roll my eyes, but strangle the heck out of her, I really did.

Snapping his head towards Sarah, Noah gives her the most confused craziest look as he asked. "We did?"

Slapping his shoulder Sarah with the fakest smile says."Yes silly, don't you remember?"

"Oh, right."

"So, what vendors do you want me to replace them with?" I questioned.

Shrugging again Sarah replied. "I don't know, surprise me...."

Wrapping her arm around Noah Sarah pecks him on the lips and continues with."I know you have really good taste, so just pick anything, and if I don't like the venues....." Sarah dramatically pauses to shrug as she continued with. "You'll look for more."

Sending her a forth closed fake smile I asked."Do you still want the same photographer for your engagement photo's?"

"I do."

Turning on my heels I said. "Well, I'll be in the kitchen changing venues if you need me."

Watching me walk away Noah says."Hey Scarlett!"

Turning my head, I answered."Yeah?"

"Can I talk to you-alone?"

Looking at Sarah and then back at Noah I replied. "Sure."
