Walking into the dance studio I began  searching the room for Noah, I found him off in the corner studying something in his hand. But it wasn't until I got closer that I realized what he was looking at. He was looking at my feather the one that fell from my mask. Seeing me walk up, Noah flashes me a smile, stuffing the feather in his pocket Noah walks up to me and gives me a tight hug.

Looking around searching the room I asked."Where's the instructor?"

"I just rented the studio to practice." Noah replied.

"Do you know how to waltz?" Noah asked.

"I know a little something."

"Great." Noah replied grabbing my hand and placing his other hand on my lower back.

As we began to dance Noah asked."So, are things with Andre getting serious?"

Sending him a smirk I knew he was jealous, he said it before, he didn't like the idea of anyone except him being interested in me, better yet he doesn't like the idea of me being interested in anyone except him.

"Why are you asking about him?"

"You mentioned him yesterday, so I got curious."

Lies straight from the pits of hell, he wasn't just curious, he wanted to know if he had to make Andre disappear again. Which is kind of hypocritical for him to even feel that way, being that we're currently practicing a dance for his wedding ,to ANOTHER woman that isn't me and all.

"Oh, no we're just friends- like you and me." I said sending him a closed smile.

Laughing to himself Noah asked."You had to throw that last part in, didn't you?"

"Yup." I said ending the conversation. The room entered into a dead silence as Noah and I waltzed around the dance room floor almost like we did the night of the ball.

"So, you left pretty quick yesterday." Noah says.

"I had to pee."

"So, you said."

Not wanting to go there I completely change the subject I wasn't going to dance around the fact that my mask that I wore to a charity ball that I wasn't supposed to be at fell out my purse.

"Is Sarah still sick?" I asked knowing exactly where that conversation was heading had I not ended it prematurely.

"Uhh, a little."

"Well food poisoning doesn't usually last three days."

"Who told you she had food poisoning?"

"You did." I said.

"No, I didn't."

That's right he didn't tell me, well he told me, but he didn't tell me tell me, he told me as Liz, not me as Scarlett. Crap I was caught, I had to think of a lie and quick."Well I think Sarah told me."

"Why would Sarah tell you anything?" Noah questioned.

"Then it was Andre." I said.I'm not going to lie to you, my heart was racing my legs felt weak and my left hand that rested on his right shoulder was trembling. I don't know why I was so scared but I was.

"What's with the third degree?"

"Scarlett, you're a terrible liar!"And then it happened, I died just a little inside. I was caught, he knew.

"Huh? I asked.

"Oh, I'm sorry I meant Liz, Liz you are a terrible liar."

My head snaps up, looking Noah straight in his eyes."What are you talking about?" I asked still sticking to my lie, he wasn't going to get me to say I was at that ball, I was taking that to the grave with me.

Taking the feather out of his pocket Noah asked."Does this look familiar?"

"No." I said looking off to the side trying my best to avoid eye contact.

"Scarlett, I know you were at the ball."

Mumbling I said."I wasn't there."

"Really- because I danced with a girl name Liz, and she wore a mask, a mask that looked like the mask that fell out of your purse and funny thing is, when she left a feather fell off her mask, leaving only three feathers on her mask, your mask had only three feathers too."

I didn't know what to say, and for once I couldn't think of a quick enough lie to get out of it, so I did the only thing I could think of, I turned to walk away.

As I turned to walk away Noah pulls me back, fighting to break free from his grip Noah tightens it and then pulls me closer, his eyes never leaving me. Nervous, my breathing started to pick up, as I stared nervously back at him. At that point I couldn't resist him any longer, I couldn't suppress my feelings, and neither could he the next thing I knew it, our lips were locked.
