Walking into the building where my friends and I first learned who exactly bought the building we formally worked in, I walk up to the first person I seen."Hi, I'm looking for Mr. Alessandro."

"And you are?" The man asked.

Placing my hand on my chest I replied."Oh, I'm sorry I'm Scarlett, I'm supposed to be filling in for his assistant."

"Oh, I'm Andre, Sarah's assistant." Andre says stretching out his hand.I'm not even going to lie, everything about Andre was attractive. From his chocolate skin to his brown eyes. Now don't get me wrong I'm not looking to get in a relationship right now especially being that I'm still not over Noah fully. But he can definitely distract me from him. I mean flirting here and there has never hurt no one.

Tilting my head to the side I asked."So, how long have you been working here?"

Rolling his beautiful brown eyes I could tell he hated his job, I mean who could blame him, he is working for Sarah, I of all people knew what that was like. "Too long." Andre replies.

"You don't sound like you like working here"

Lifting both his eye brows Andre said."You must not know Sarah."

"Oh, I do, we're neighbors."

Touching my shoulder Andre says."I'm sorry, you'll be in my prayers."

Laugh as I slap his arm I replied."Well it's good to know I'm not the only one she acts this way too."

"Definitely not."

"So how did you end up working here?" I questioned.

"I needed the extra money, so I could start my own business."

"What kind of business."

"Construction."

"I bet you'd be really good at that." I said as I flirtatiously touch his arm.

"Yeah, how did you end up here?" Andre asked sliding his hands into his pocket.

Rolling my eyes, at the thought of why I was working here I said."It's a long story." To be honest, I just didn't want to share too much too soon with someone I don't even know. Been there done that, that's why I'm in the position I'm in now.

With a look of interest Andre says."I have time, Sarah doesn't come in until noon."

Tucking my hair behind my ear I give in. "Well...." Turning mid-sentence, I turn and point at the building that use to be my job through the window and continued with. "See that building?"

Scooting over to see what I was pointing at Andre asked."What about it?"

"I use to work there, I was a preschool teacher, but Sarah bought it."

"Why would she do that?" Andre questioned.

"Because she's the devil!"

Laughing Andre says. "Well, I can vouch for that!"

" But I don't know, I feel like there's a deeper reason to why she did that, I mean out of all the buildings she could have bought, she bought yours, I wonder why."

Sighing as I tossed my hands up. Turning my head and looking him in the eyes I reply."Now, that one really is a long story!"

"How about you tell me over dinner?"

"Are you asking me out on a date?" I questioned.

"Yeah, I think I am."

"You barely know me."

"I know enough to want to know more...."

"So, what do you say?" Andre continued.

"Scarlett!" A firm voice called as I went to open my mouth to answer Andre's request.

Turning around facing the voice I see it's Sarah I could tell she was irritated, at what I had no idea, but I was sure I was about to find out.

"I thought you were coming in at noon?" Andre said.

Throwing her hands up annoyed Sarah replied."Yeah, well here I am."Continuing Sarah says."You can go home."

"What- why?" I asked.

"Noah's not coming in today."

"Why not?" I questioned.

Rolling her eyes Sarah says."He's in one of his moods, I wish he'd just suck it up already."

When she said one of his 'moods' I knew exactly what she meant, what she meant was his depression was too much today .But you know what annoyed me, not that she was here when he was off depressed at home, no I can kind of understand that, someone has to be making money in order to keep that pretty house of theirs, so that isn't what annoyed me, what annoyed me was her whole attitude about his depression, like he can help it, was what irritated me. If depression could be shaken off most people would, but it doesn't work that way. Depression controls the way you feel, the way you act and the way you think, depression has a way of making you believe there is no way out when there are ton's of ways out you just can't see it, its almost like having tunnel vision. In other words you don't choose to have a mental illness, the mental illness chooses you.

Waving her hand Sarah says."So, I guess you could go home or something, I'm sure when he decides to man up and grow a pair he'll call you."

I so badly wanted to strangle her, but I knew I couldn't, so I quickly turned on my heels, facing Andre I said."I'll see you around."

I wasn't going home, I couldn't, because unlike Sarah I actually care about Noah. Reaching my car, I pull out my key's and I quickly hop in my car. Before I knew it, I was in front of their house. Twisting the door knob, I walk directly in, forget knocking.

Walking into the room that Noah and Sarah shared it was completely dark like almost pitch black. Searching the room, I spot him in the corner of his bed wrapped in his cover. Crawling in his bed I lay behind him as I wrap my arm around him and whispered.

"I hear you."
