Chapter 21: Cinderella Elizabeth Prince part 1

Walking into Noah's office I asked. "Hey, do you know where I could find Andre?"

"I can't seem to find him anywhere." I continued.

Not taking his eyes from his work Noah replied. "Sarah fired him."

"Sarah fired him, or you fired him?"

"Why would I fire him?" Noah questioned still not taking his eyes off his work."He's not my assistant." Noah mumbled.

Getting upset I closed his laptop. Looking up annoyed Noah asked."Why would you do that?!"

"Why would you fire him?"

"I didn't fire him- Sarah did!"

"Why would she do that, she seemed to like Andre or at least his work."

Pulling open his laptop Noah says."Apparently she doesn't like him that much."

Pushing close his laptop again this time grabbing it and tossing it on the chair behind me. This time Noah stood to his feet."Fine- do you want to know why he really lost his job?!"

Throwing my hands out like a mad woman I replied."That's all I wanted to know in the first place!"

"Andre's a sloppy worker and he was more of a liability than an asset, so she had to let him go."

Rolling my eyes, I threw up my hands and said."You just can't admit you're jealous, can you?"

"Of what?"

"Andre, me getting close to anyone but you!"

"I bet Andre was just another disposable Jessabus to you, wasn't he?"

"That whole- differences aren't the problem crap, was that just to hook me in?!"

"No- you know I hate that word and you know I really cared about you!"

Laughing to myself I said."Cared."

"How about this Noah, I quit!" I said as I threw up my hands turning to walk out.

Feeling the air pick up behind me and then a tug on my arm. "I'm sorry- I was jealous- I'm jealous every time another man even looks at you!"

Sending him a fake closed smile I said. "Congratulations!"

"How do you think I feel seeing you with Sarah!" I continued.

"I don't know what to do Scarlett, I want to be with you, but I can't, I want to leave Sarah, but I can't, I really can't, I just want to be happy for once, but I can't be with the one person that makes me the happiest."

"So, I took my frustration out on Andre." Noah continued.

"I know we can't be what we both want to be, but how about we be friends."

Giving me a closed smile Noah says. "I guess that will have to do, I hate not being around you."

"And will you tell Sarah to give Andre his job back?" I asked.

Folding his arms Noah says. "Iiiii dooonnnttt knooowww."

"Noah!"

"Fine, I'll talk to her."

Smacking his arm, I replied. "Great!"

Watching me turn to walk away Noah asked."Where are you going?"

"Sarah asked me to leave early today, she needs her slave back." I replied with a fake closed smile as I rose both my eye brows.

"She called you a slave?!"
