Day 61

Roxas POV
I'm kind of tired right. I wish I could sleep for a little longer..

"Why couldn't it be a weekend today?" I ask myself as I get up from my bed. I walk to my drawer and get my school uniform. I get dressed and go to the bathroom. Afterwards, I head to school.

I remember that Xion isn't at the entrance waiting for me.

I hope Xion wakes up soon..

I walk into the school. I decide to sit on a bench until the bell rings.

DING DONG

I walk over to my class and sit in my seat. Soon enough the teacher arrives.

"I'll be taking attendance so please raise your hand when you name is called," he said.

I start to doze off. I was about to fall asleep until the teacher called her name.

"Namine?" the teacher asked.

Everyone looks at each other.

"Where has she been? She hasn't been attending school for a while now. Does anyone know what happened to the her?" The teacher asks as he looks around the class.

No one says anything.

"..Alright then," the teacher says as he continues doing the attendence.

Wait.. that girl hasn't been at school? I didn't even notice. No wonder I haven't been seeing her. She's not at my house anymore so..? Doesn't that mean she disappeared?

After homeroom, I head to my next class wondering what had happened to her.

Afterschool

Class had finally ended. I walk out the school entrance and head over to the clock tower to meet everyone else like I always do. As I'm heading my way, I find a blonde hair girl in my way.

Is that..? No way..

I walk pass her, trying not to make eye contact in case it is her. I hear footsteps from behind. I get a tap on the shoulder. I turn around and there the she is. It was Namine..

"Hey! I didn't think I'd see you here," Namine says.

"Uh.. me neither," I said.

There's a minute of silence between us.

"Is that all you have to say? Aren't you going to ask me like, where I've been or something?" She asked.

"What? Oh uh okay. Where have you been?" I asked.

"I found a new place to live at. You didn't seem to like my company that much. I know you were at Xion's house because you didn't want to be with me...," Namine sighed softly. "Here.. um keep this," Namine said handing me a keychain.

"What is this...?" I asked.

"Haha," she laughed. "Something really important to me," she said.

"Then why are you giving it to me?" I ask.

"Well, I don't need it anymore, so you can have it. If you don't want it either, just toss it away for me, okay?" She said.

"Um.. why don't you just throw it away yourself?" I ask.

"Just keep it okay? You seemed like you were going somewhere earlier. Sorry for taking your time," Namine said and she disappeared.

I look at the keychain she gives me.

Why did she give this to me?

Namine's Pov

There's no point in keeping that thing if he doesn't even remember our promise. Haha... I guess I wasn't that important to him if he forgot about it.

Haha..

Am.. I crying?

Hah..

Roxas.. it hurts...

Help me.. Come save me like you used to in the past.

Roxas POV

What is this?

I look at the keychain. It was a minature sea salt ice cream figure attached with a chain.

I put into my pockets and continue walking to the clock tower. When I arrive everyone is there waiting already. Except for Xion.

"Hey you're late today, something happened?" Axel said.

"No nothing really, just came out of class late today," I lied.

"Alright, here take your ice cream. It's gonna melt anytime soon because of how late you are," Axel said.

"Am I that late?" I ask rubbing the back of my head as I take the ice cream. I sit down.

"I thought you weren't going to come today because of how late you were," Sora said

"Sorry," I said.

"I was going to eat your share of ice cream if you came a minute later," Riku said.

"Good thing I came in time then," I said as a chuckled a bit.

The sun goes down. We all head home.

When I enter my home, I remember that I haven't visited Xion yet. I look at the time.

I forgot to visit! It's already pretty late. Sorry Xion, I'll visit tomorrow!

I walk into my room. I look go into my drawer where I keep my diary.

I haven't been writing in this. Maybe I should today.

I bumped into that girl, Namine today.. She gave me this strange keychain... Why though?
