When I woke up I was filled with fear. The things I saw while I was sleep began to anger me. I was told that I had been asleep for three weeks. I glanced around my room to see the two people that I could trust was still there by my side. Coojo and Aja had been there night and day the nurse walked over to tell me. I tried hard to speak but my vocal cords were still weak.
"Do you want me to wake them asked Nurse York?"
"That won't be necessary said a deep voice from the side of my bed. Coojo raised his head and took a stretch while Aja continued to sleep peacefully.
"Good Morning Beautiful he said, you gave us quite a scare. The doctor said that the drugs you took sent your heart haywire.?"
"Drugs, what drugs I haven't had nothing but green?"
I had no idea what Coojo was speaking on but I had to find out what. Once he seen that I had something to say he asked York for an eraser board and marker.
"I wrote telling him that I had no idea what he was talking about."
"The cops said that you must have taken the drugs before you trashed the house. I just can't understand why you blazed it?" Tears immediately formed in my eyes. Someone was trying to frame me for my own suicide. My body was still weak but I was able to sit up in the bed to do more writing.
"First off are you telling me that my house has been torched?"
"He nodded yeah" but backed it up with a confused look.
"Coojo you know me and know better than that. I didn't trash my house, nor did I burn it and hell no I haven't taken any drugs. The tears continued to roll faster down my face. Coojo had this confused look on his face that let me know Cookie had done some foul shit.
I began to write again. "Look Coojo after I saw you in the store I went home and the gate was open. I thought that I just didn't lock it. When I got inside everything was already trashed and the safe room had been pried open. I called Miami but as soon as he picked up someone grabbed me."
Damn my arms were tired. The next thing I knew I was in a freezer tied up. Then Cookie came to help me. I was done I couldn't write anymore but I think he got the picture. Just then Nurse York came back with my lunch and to change my I.V I was on a liquid diet until my throat healed up. Aja got up and went to the hall bathroom when Kilo came rushing in.
"Hey C" she okay trying to act concerned. I didn't want to know that I knew he was involved I had something else in store for his ass. Aja returned with this fucked up looked on her face like she wasn't happy to see him. If I hadn't had known better I would have thought that he would be MIA. Maybe he was coming to see if I was alive and what I knew. He walked over to hug me and I let him as though there was nothing wrong at all. I needed him in the palm of my hands. I was glad as hell when Coojo's phone rung.
"Hello damn what's up dude I'm glad you call I need to holler at you ASAP, is now okay?" He took the phone call outside while Aja and Kilo left to talk as well. I didn't want him to tell Miami what was going on since I hadn't said nothing to him on anything. In the inside I was crying but no one else was going to be able to see me sweat.
"Hey Ma look out Coojo came in to run it down before Kilo came back. Miami is on his way to court and I told him what happened and he told me what he needed for me to do. He did say though not to worry."
"Not to worry how in the fuck can I not going to worry."
"Aja came back in to say that she would be back she had to talk to Kilo, which left me and Coojo to sort this shit out. I could smell the hospital food as it approached my door but as usual Coojo had ordered me some Thai soup and rice noodles. I had to give him his props for sticking by me. My mom had just come from Costa Rica when she heard the news Coojo said he didn't want to disturb her since it had been so long since she did something. Besides he didn't want her to feel like without Miami she wasn't safe.
