As soon as the plane touched down I put my game face on and began to set myself in a mode for whatever may pop off. Coojo was there as usual to pick us up and may I say that he showed just how much he missed us in two days. His arms were filled with teddy bears and both red and white roses. I was glad to be back on my soil but what I wasn't ready for was all the shit that came along with it. I knew that with the baby coming I didn't have time to play games nor could I be out bleeding the block. Then I got the fondest idea that there was only one person who I could trust and someone that I knew wasn't going to go for no bullshit. I know that's it sounds real fucked up but LaLa would be the perfect person. She was the perfect prodigy for the moment.

"Hey Mi you know Miami called yesterday wanting to talk to you. I told him that you were at your mom's trying to get some much needed rest. That way I knew that he wouldn't turn around and call you. He said that he would call back tonight around seven or seven thirty so make sure that your there."

"Well, actually I have something's that I need to holler at you about anyway". I don't think that I was ever so happy to be back in Coojo house. Now I know for sure that I am slightly out of harm way.

"Just as I made it into the kitchen I could feel vomit rise in my throat. That's when it dawned on me that I was so busy trying to get back to Miami that I didn't eat breakfast before the plane and now I was paying for it. LaLa came to the bedroom door to ask if I was okay. "Yea I'm fine just grab me a 7up or something to settle my stomach with."

"Okay I will leave the cup on the counter while I help Coojo get the bags from the truck." By then Coojo thought that getting some lunch may help my stomach. It felt more like I had just got off a Roller Coaster as my stomach and head turned flips. My head even began to feel warm and for a minute I thought that I had caught something from Jamaica or maybe inhaled too much of Villain's Concoction perhaps. My head was spinning so I thought a warm shower would help. I ran the bath and went into the bedroom to gather my pamper kit and a magazine when I noticed a small box on my pillow. I grabbed it and went back into the bathroom to pour in some bubbles and bath salts.

When my mom got wind of the baby she gave me the take care of your body from the inside out speech. Although you may feel like a ton you can still be beautiful. I slid off my clothes and down into the water. The box was sitting there begging for me to open it, so I did only to find it was empty. I looked around the bathroom thinking that someone was fucking with me. I took the bottom of the empty box apart and there was something wrapped in tape. I loosened the tape with my teeth to count our four one hundred dollars bills that he had rolled up in a tootsie roll shape. No matter how much I told Coojo that I was good seemed like the more he issued. What I can say was that he was down for us both and there was nothing going to stop him. I know that Miami told me not to trust anyone I knew that Coo was good.

I was deep in my thoughts but not one time did the thoughts stray far from Miami. The house was silent and I felt at peace for the moment. Living here with Coo was cool but he needed his space and I needed mine but time wasn't on my side. I refuse to lie down on these streets and I wanted to be the one bitch standing. The more I thoughts about all this shit the more my head spent. I laid my head back on the cushioned neck rest and closed my eyes. Just as I began to float away, I heard a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" I mumbled I couldn't really hear what they said so I said nothing. Then Coo opened the door in a panic.

"Girl Mi you didn't hear me calling you? Get up before you drown in this tub." He came on in and closed the door. I sat up so that bubbles would somehow shield me. "You good?"

"I was just thinking before I dozed off, something that Miami asked me one day not long after we met?"

"Oh yeah", he said kneeling down next to me.
