It's now the day of my event and I couldn't be even more happier. The feeling of accomplishing your goals is such a surreal moment. My mom and dad will be here in a hour or so. "I don't want nobody else but you, I don't want nobody else but you" I pick up my phone and smile,
Chinx: "hey cutie pie, you getting ready for your big day?"
Me: "Yes I am, just looking in my closet now to see which dress I should wear."
Chinx: "you should wear the one with the gold sequins that fit nice."
I start to blush and giggle,
Chinx: "what's funny?"
Me: nothing chinx, But alright I'll wear that one. But not for you! For me."
Chinx: "yeah alright Telli, you remember that."
We both giggle,
Me: "Well I'm about to finish getting ready, bye handsome!"
Chinx: "Bye beautiful, see you tonight."
Now you guys are probably wondering why chinx and I use those words with each other but that's just the type of bond we've always had. Throughout all the relationships she's been in Tracy & I have been right by her side. As I slip on my tight black dress with the gold sequins, I put on my Eau So Sexy perfume and put on my gold heart necklace that Chinx bought me. Every year chinx and I exchange gifts on holidays and our birthdays. It's just been a ritual, I guess you can call it. I walk down stairs and hear my parents ringing the doorbell. I open the door for them and hug both of them tight, "Omg mom and dad it's been so long!" We are so emotional right now since it's been almost a year, "look at our beautiful babygirl" I start blushing and offer them some water, "Look at this beautiful place, life has been treating you fairly well huh?" I hand them both bottles of water and sit down next to them. "Yes it has dad, I've been so blessed by the man above. I have some great news to share with the two of you and my friends tonight." They start blushing along with me and applauding. "You'll always make your mama and papa proud babygirl." I feel myself getting tearful and blow them kisses, "of course I will. Would you two like a tour of my place?" They both smile nod, "of course we do pretty!" After the tour Tracy and Chinx arrive. I open the door and hug them both, "Omg! Hi my two favorite people. Thank you for the gifts. I'll take those." I take the gifts to my rose petal table along with the gifts my parents gave me and we all sit and talk. My mother and father love my best friends and I think that's because we all grew up together. As we celebrate the night, all the kind words, food, gifts, and new memories being made is definitely heart warming!
