Lily

I admit it. I am afraid to go. My best friend Lis Goldearth has talked to me all day, trying to persuade me into having a second thought. Well, she has succeeded.

Lis is a rather short and shy girl, but you really don't want to have trouble with her. She has got beautiful hazel eyes and there are freckles on her nose and arms. I really wonder why she hasn't got a boyfriend yet.

"You definitely need some make-up Lils," Mary says. She always wears makeup. Always. And I'm not even exaggerating. Her eyebrows form perfect curves above her gold-brown Bambi eyes which are surrounded by immense long pitch black eyelashes. She is definitely boyfriend-material. She's smart, funny, serious and a prankster, so of course she's had dozens of boyfriends. She and Lysander Scamander, Luna's son, are dating for... three weeks? Trust me, three weeks is a record for her, so I think she really does like him.

"No," I say, trying to resist.

"Come Come," she says with a Witch-Weekly-cover-smile and I grin. Maybe a bit of makeup won't be so bad after all.

After half an hour we go downstairs to have dinner in the Great Hall and I just can't stop glancing at the Slytherin table.

"Bit nervous?" I hear James behind me and I immediately turn around. My family should not know that I'll be dating a Malfoy...

"Yeah," I mumble, looking for reasonable lies in my head.

"What for, Lils?"

"I... I have a Potions test tomorrow," I make up.

"Really? You're the last one who should be nervous about Potions exams, you seem to have earned grandmother's gift apart from her stunning looks, sis," He smirks.

I shake my head and grin sheepishly. "Nah, it's OK James."

"I know right?" he says and walks further to his 'buds'.

"You look gorgeous Lily!" Rose Weasley says, a bit surprised. "Are you going anywhere...?" My cousin raises her eyebrows.

"Eh-"

"No I just love to use Lily's face as a sketchbook," Monica interrupts my unfinished - unfinished? I hadn't even started - attempt to convince Rose. "Her almond eyes," she continues while swallowing a bit of pork. "Are just perfect for eyeliner, not that I've used much, of course, but I have to admit I've used some. Oh, and her freckles of course! And her auburn hair, her-"

"You've made your point," I interrupt Monica, trying not to blush. It's okay if people tell me what they like about me, but I feel a bit uncomfortable with it. Ob-vious-ly.

After dinner I go back to my dorm and take my book. Eight o'clock. Still got an hour left.

I sigh and try to control the nerves, so I take up a piece of parchment and a quill and start to write down the positive and negative sides of dating Scorpius.

Cons:

1. He's in Slytherin and a Malfoy so there's a big chance my family will hate him.

2. He's two years older

3. (scratched and followed by...)

Pros:

1. He's damn handsome

2. He plays Quidditch so you could say he's a sportive guy

3. His eyes

4. His hair

5. His smile

6. He asked me out of all girls

7. His scent (scratched because I felt embarrassed)

8. He's very smart (also scratched because I felt that wasn't a reason to fall in love with someone)

"LILY!" Lis screamed whilst running into the dorm, causing me to jump up and grab my wand. "IT'S ALMOST NINE O'CLOCK!"

I let a sigh escape and quickly put the list between the pages of the book I am planning to take with me.

"I know!" I say, forcing myself to smile.

"Go on then!" she pushes me through the door.

"Where are you going?" Lysander asks me.

"Library," I say, holding up my book.

"Oh, okay."

I sit down on the cold, hard ground and open the book. My eyes look at the pages, but I can't read. Indeed, my eyes keep looking at the corridor. What if he isn't coming? What if it wasn't meant for me? What if he-

My thoughts and heart stop for a second. A pale guy, with platinum blonde hair, blue-grey eyes and a golden smile is walking towards me.

"Lily?" he says.

"I'm not Lily!" I say, out of nowhere and I get up as quickly as possible and run away. I don't deserve him. I really, really don't.

"You are!" he says, and I can hear him running after me.

"No!" I shout, but I have no idea why.

I try to take as many secret passages on my way back to the common room, but he seems to know them all.

"Please!" he pleads, taking my wrist in the last small corridor. I try to pull it free, but he's stronger. His eyes look directly in mine. "Please," he begs again.
