Lily
I drag myself out of bed as the first rays of golden sunlight peep through the not-so-very-well-drawn curtains. I sigh and lay my face in my hands as I sit down on my bed again, my bare feet touching the cold stone floor of my dorm.
A great start of the new term, I think sleepily as I walk towards the bathroom, feeling like a zombie in those awful Muggle-films. I splash some water onto my face and shake the damp hair from my wet cheeks.
I look like a dog. How beautiful. It is a miracle Scorpius loves me, I think as I walk back towards my bed to dress myself.
Was there anything special today? I yawn as I slip my arms through the blouse. I want to put on my skirt when I suddenly freeze.
The Tournament. People will get their letters today. What if Scorpius gets one? I continue dressing myself as dozens of thoughts and situations whirl through my head. What if Scorpius can participate? Then… then I will have to miss him!
Or not. Maybe he does not get a letter.
Wow, I am such a great girlfriend.
“I’ll see,” I whisper to my reflection as I adjust my tie. “I’ll see.”

As I sit down at one of the four enormous tables in the Great Hall there are just some Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs already having breakfast. I sigh as I reach for a scone with marmalade but let out a muffled scream as Nearly Headless Nick’s head suddenly appears between what I hoped would be my breakfast.
“Well well, young lady, why the pleasant welcoming?” he sighs, rising up from the table and floating somewhere next to me.
“I’m sorry, Nick,” I say, taking a scone from another woven basket.
“It is okay, Lily,” he says, yawning. “Why are you up so early?”
I did not know ghosts could yawn… but decide it’s better not to ask. “I don’t know really,” as I take a bite from the small cake “Just the sun, I guess.”
I point at the enchanted ceiling and Nick nods. The sky is cloudless and forget-me-not-blue, but the sun hasn’t risen enough to be above our heads.
“Well, I guess I am going to wake the Grey Lady and have a walk with her in the corridors-“
“Since when can ghosts walk?” the small voice of Hugo, my cousin, asks.
“Metaphorically!” Nick replies, shaking his head sadly and floating off.
“Did you really have to do that?” I sigh.
“I’m sorry!” he rolls his eyes as he sits next to me.
Hugo is my cousin, if you hadn’t already noticed, and in the same year as me. He is sometimes just as heartless as his father, Ron, but that’s just on rare occasions. Usually he’s quite nice. Usually.
“Could you do me a favour?” he says.
“Depends.”
“Pass me the marmalade.”
“Seriously? That’s it?”
“Yes. That’s it. Pleaaaaaasee?”
“What even-“
“Pretty pleaseeeeeee?”
“Wow, Hugo. You are such a lazy-“
“Morning cheerful sis,” James’ voice interrupts me and I roll my eyes.
