I feel stupid not knowing what to say, so instead i just smile sheepishly at him. Oh Scorpius Malfoy, you have no idea in what situation you got me, and how much I secretly enjoy it.

Professor Mellow calls off the end of class and while I am packing my bag, Scorpius stays, standing just a few inches away from me, his muscled arms hanging useless by his sides. "Um," he says, clearing his throat would you like to-"

"Yes?" I ask, looking up at him, staring into his sea-like blue grey eyes, after a somewhat awkward silence.

"Go with me for a walk during lunchtime? I will ensure the attendance of food." he adds grinning slightly.

"Yeah!" I say, maybe a bit too fast. What will everyone think when they see us, walking alone, having lunch together?

"Hey, it's okay. If you don't want to -"

"No I do." I interrupt him. "I do want to."

If I'm alone with him I can hopefully spit out all my thoughts and worries.

"Great!" he says, smiling. "Do we meet at the Lake?"

"Okay," I answer, smiling because I can't help it. I'm having a date with Scorpius. A date.

***

"Where are you going?" Lis asks surprised when I head outside instead of going to the Great Hall.

"I've got a date," I whisper, making sure neither James nor Albus hears it.

"With who?"

"What do you think, Silly? With Scorpius of course!"

"Ooooh!" Lis squeaks "You've got a date with Scorpius!!!"

"Yes. Ehm I got to go know, bye! See you in Charms!" I shout as she is being pushed into the Hall by the crowd.

***

"Hi," I say, feeling butterflies swarming inside my stomach as he looks at me.

"Good afternoon, Miss Potter," he says but as soon as he sees my frowned eyebrows he quickly says: "Lily."

"Let's sit over there," I mumble, pointing at a spot where I can see a lot of grass and a lot of sunshine.

"You say it, we do it," Scorpius smirks.

"No I don't mean it like that, I don't want to be-"

"Bossy? You're not."

"Thank God," I whisper, raising the left corner of my mouth.

Scorpius smiles and shows his hand at me, raising one of his eyebrows.

I take it carefully, being afraid of sweaty hands. They were trembling first, but now, while one of them is being hold by him, they're not anymore. It even feels comfortable.

***

"Do you want some French toast? Or maybe-"

"No French toast is fine," I say feeling a bit uncomfortable.

"Okay," Scorpius says and he hands me some while biting an apple.

"Thank you." I whisper, my voice being gone suddenly.

"I'm sorry," I say after swallowing my last bit of toast. "I just feel so uncomfortable around you but I do ehm like you. Does that make any sense?"

"Yeah," Scorpius responds, nodding. "It does. But you really shouldn't be sorry. What for are you?"

Does he mean it? I hope so.

"For you. You are so -" I feel my cheeks are turning red. "Cool. Old - I mean, in a good way, you know. Handsome. Sportive. You're everything I'm not!"

He lays a finger on my lips, and I can feel how soft his fingers are - I mean. Yeah. Quite embarrassing thoughts.

"Lily Luna Potter. You are a wonderful girl, and what I'm going to tell you know, yeah? You should never ever forget that, okay?"

I nod, drowning in his eyes.

"You're incredibly smart, though that shouldn't be a reason to fall in love with someone, is it?"

"You read it." I mumble, my cheeks being almost as red as my hair.

His smile makes me melt.

"So I'll just carry on telling you the other things. Your hair. It's beautiful, especially when the sun is shining on it. Your emerald green eyes, heck, they make me want to look at them forever. Your lips. Call me stupid, but your lips are just... perfect." he mumbles, looking down for a moment, and - wait is he blushing?

"You fly incredible, I love your handwriting, the way you treat books, the look on your face when you're reading. I love every single thing you're doing."

And at that moment I just want to sob, holding him tight, my head leaning against his chest. I don't know why.

"I just-" I start, looking into his eyes. "It's my family. I'm afraid they won't accept you, and I don't want that."

"It's okay," Scorpius whispers, moving his thumbs in circles on my hands while trying to comfort me.

"That's the problem. It isn't okay. I'm afraid they find you too old for me. The difference between my parents is one year, so they'll find that acceptable, but there's two years between us!"

"I know," Scorpius whispers and he comes closer so our noses almost touch. "And I honestly don't care. I'll get you through, if that's necessary. I will. Trust me."

"I trust you," I whisper, my head leaning against his and a tear escaping my eyes.
