omniscient (adjective): knowing everything; being aware or informed of everything

-Jess's POV-

As our lips connected with each other's I felt like I was walking on air. I mean, I could've died at that moment and I would've been fine with it. It would've been acceptable, as long as I was kissing Luke. My hands tangled in his hair as his grip on my hips increased in strength. His lips were slightly chapped but still incredibly soft. The smell of his toxic aftershave lingered in the atmosphere. The sparks that had been waiting to be set off for such a long time were finally erupting from the pit of my stomach. Out of the blue, Hemmings pulled away and took a step back. I peered at his face, stunned at the sudden movement.

"What?" I asked, fearing the worst.

"It's wrong, Jess. What I said that night still stands." Luke stated bluntly, a confused expression plastered on his face. I scoffed, not surprised at all. I glanced at the wall behind him, trying to look anywhere but him. Commanding the tears not to spill from my eyes, I leaped forward and pushed Luke out of my way. He grabbed my arm but I jerked back and glared at him.

"Don't fucking touch me." I snapped, my words spitting out of my mouth.

"Jess,-" He began but I shoved him once again, causing his back to collide with the wall and him to let out a grunt. My emerald orbs pierced into his oceanic ones, the stare I was giving him turning them into stone. I jammed my finger into his chest, noting the importance of what I was about to say.

"Never, and I mean never, speak to me again." I growled and turned on my heel.

I stormed out of the damned place and headed towards the 5SOS dressing room, which had their logo printed on a poster and taped to the entrance. I didn't bother knocking therefore bursting into the room seemed like a better choice. Michael looked up from his phone and shot me a brief smile. I crouched on the sofa next to him and covered my face in my hands, starting to sob lightly. He literally threw his phone across the room and huddled over to me, freeing my face. His eyes peered into mine and projected true sympathy.

 "What happened?" Michael asked.

 "Luke." I simply stated.

"Luke?" He inquired, furrowing his eyebrows while at it.

I sighed loudly and realized this was the time to tell Mikey everything. I didn't know where to begin. How could I explain that I was surely developing feelings for someone I'd met four days ago? It seemed impossible, didn't it? But it wasn't. You see, love or whatever you want to call it, isn't affected by the amount of time that had acted upon it. The only thing that is important is the person you believe is right for you, that special someone you can't get out of your head no matter what you do. Now all I could do was explain myself to the lad in front of me. With a deep breath, all the information was planted in his mind.

"I'm gonna pound his face in." Michael growled, shooting to his feet. He began heading for the door when I grabbed his hand and pulled backwards, preventing him from moving in any direction. His expression was questioning my intentions and I knew I had to explain them.

"Don't hurt him, Mikey. Luke isn't worth it, besides, I don't care about him anymore." I pleaded.

"Fifteen minutes ago you were saying you do." He pointed out.

"I don't care about him anymore." I repeated through gritted teeth. Michael bit his lip and pinched it between his thumb and pointer finger.
