Sixteen: That's crazy

"Hey Derek." I opened the window wider so he could come in. "Can we sit on the roof again?" He gave me a pleading look and I nodded. "Yeah sure"

I sat on the flat surface and looked the clouds in the sky.

"So what have you been up to." He asked me. I could feel his stare burning into me. I gulped and decided to tell Derek everything. No maybe after he tells me about how it went with him.

"Nothing really...Actually there is something I have to tell you but I want to hear about your real parents first." His hazel eyes shined and he giggled.

"Alright. They were very nice. When I looked at my mom I finally felt that emptiness get filled. That's what was missing Caroline. But not only that I have a brother!" My eyes lit up and i looled at him to see if he was joking around "A brother?" "Yeah. A twin brother..." "Da fuck no. A twin brother?" Was he messing around with me. "Yes a twin brother silly!" I laughed and he smiled. "Are you kidding?" "Does it look like I'm kidding." I looked at him and his face was dead serious until a smile creeped on his face. "Your totally kidding." "I'm not you'll meet him some time soon." We laughed and then he stopped and looked at me. I smiled and his eyes shined. "You look beautiful when you smile." "Derek...stop." He smiled wider. "Derek we're bestfriends right?" "Yeah of course. Why what's wrong?" "Can I tell you something?" "Yeah always." I looked at his concerned eyes. "I'm dating Jason. I mean I'm his girlfriend." He turned away from me and looked at his feet. Then he raised his head and looked at the sky.

"I know...Jason told me." What the hell. Now im starting to wonder what Jason told him. "He really likes you Caroline. Don't break his heart please. Last time his heart got broken he became a horrible person and I don't want to see him like that again. Promise me you won't break his heart" I thought about Jason and how cute he is when he smiles. He drove me crazy.

"I promise. Hopefully he breaks mine." "You like him that much." He smiled at me. "Yeah. I think so." "Well he knows so I want him to be happy." I smiled at him and hugged him. He hugged me back and gave my forehead a kiss. "Love you Caroline." "Love you too." He got up and climbed down. I looked at the clouds and realized that they always felt the same way I did. The easy going wind and the sun shining brightly but not hot. The day couldn't get any better. I talked to my best friend again and it felt nice to tell him. Well not really but it felt nice that he knew everything.

Jason picked me up and now we were at starbucks. He went to order and I'm sitting here at the table. I took out my phone and went on instagram. The door opened and I didn't pay much attention to it. Until I recognized the raspy soothing voice.

"Caroline?" I looked up and saw Justin stand in front of me. My face instantly lit up and a fire in my heart started to spark. Then I remembered that night at the party. Then that he has been here for almost two months. Wasn't he on tour.

"hey" I let out a long sigh and looked at him. He looked different. Not bad but not good different. Just different. Both of his arms were filled with tattoos. He got more! His eyes were a darker shade and looked awfully tired. His hair was hidden in a purple hoodie. And then pattie walked in searching for something in her bag. I had missed her so much.

"Justin have you seen-" I got up and went to hug her. She looked up at me and a big wide smile appeared on her face. She hugged me back and I saw Justin smiling behind her.

"Oh my God. How have you been Pattie? I missed you so much." "I missed you too sweety. I've been great actually." " The doctor said she has come out great from the treatment." Justin said. I looked at him and he had the happiest smile. "She beat cancer Caroline. Well it was barely starting. So three months really helped her." I looled at Justin. "That is so nice to hear. This day just became ten times better." Pattie laughed and she patted my arm. "Still the smae Caroline that I missed so much. Maybe you could help me catch up sweety." I smiled at her and nodded. I felt. tap on my shoulder and turned to see Jason looking at his phone handing me my drink.

"Here you go ba-" Once he looked up he stopped talking then looked at me. He's so adorable.

"Umm Jason this is Pattie," I pointed at Pattie and he extended his hand shaking hers. She smiled and looked at Justin "and this is Justin" He took Justin's hand and shook it as well. "Pattie, Justin this is Jason...My boyfriend." I saw Pattie give Justin a look. That just confused me. Then he shrugged his shoulders and looked at me. He rubbed tha bacl of his neck and spoke up.

"Caroline you know how you said...that if I ever got signed you woild want to be in the first row of my concert?" He smiled nervously. "Yeah" My face lit up and I send him a huge grin. "I got you a backstage pass and a first row seat. If you wanted to come to my last concert before I go...You can bring Jason too." I looked at Jason and he smiled nodding. "Ok we'll go" "Baby its time for us to go."

Justin smiled and I hugged him. He whispered in my ear "I miss you so much Caroline." I pulled away and looked at his hazel eyes. They were a lighter shade. I hugged Pattie. "Take care sweetheart. I love you and so does Justin" "Love you too Pattie. And take care of Justin" She smiled and I intertwined my fingers with Jason. We said our goodbyes and pushed the doors. The flashes and cameras immediately hit our faces and were asked a bunch of questions.

"Are you Justin's lost love?" "Are you the girl he sings about all the time?" "He looks happier when you're there!" What the fuck? Is this what Justin had to go through everyday. I would never wish it upon no one. After ezcaping the paparazzi we got into Jason's car.

"I don't want to be the jealous boyfriend or anything but who were they? I mean I've seen him on television but you know.." "He was my ummm...ex boyfriend" "Justin Bieber?" I nodded and looked at him "Yeah before he became famous" "That's crazy."

Trust me I know baby. I looked into Jason's clear blue eyes. He smiled and caressed my cheek. "I love you Caroline" "I love you too baby" He collided his lips with mine and our lips went in perfect sync. He pulled away and I licked my lips savoring his. I looked out the car and saw Justin's sad eyes and being pulled by Pattie. He gave me a sad look and He lipped the three words I didn't want to see. I love you.
