Why won't you just listen to me!?

Lance was once again hiding away from the rest of the paladins. This time he wasn't angry at them, he was upset. He just wanted his family. His brothers, sisters, Grandma, Granddad, cousins, his Dad and his Mum. And more importantly he just wanted to be in their arms. Lying on his back on Blue's head he stared out at the stars knowing that this time, unlike the many times he had snuck out to watch the stars at the Garrison,  his family wasn't seeing the same constellations.

Like I said, Lance was hiding, he had had a rough week; Lotor had arrived not long ago and was really getting on his nerves getting the team on him because of Lotors fascination with him not to mention that he was getting the backlash from Alura because she was still upset and somewhat angry about discovering that Keith was Galran. So maybe he was a little angry, but that combined with his ever growing homesickness made him worse. Did his parents know he was alive, did they care? That was the main one on Lance's mind. They had nearly ten kids, nobody would care if one wasn't around anymore right? Before he found Blue he hadn't received a reply to his letters for the past three months. In the first two week he had convinced himself that the letters were getting lost, but by the end of the second month he was sure that they just didn't want to respond to him.

"LANCE!? LANCE ARE YOU OUT HERE?"

There he was again, the mullet. Lance hated him so much at times and then at other times he had this feeling in his chest that made him just want to throw his arms around the half Galran boy and- okay no he just hated him, definitely just hated him. Looking to the right he saw Kieth climbing Blue again. The Lion was so used to her Paladins antics now that she just allowed the red Paladin to do as he wished to get to him. "You're up here again I see." Turning his head away from his; well he didn't know what Kieth was to him but that was besides the point, he turned his head away from Keith refusing to look the teen in the eyes. How could he look him in the eyes when Keith was part of two of the three problems getting to him? Granted Kieth just wanted to make sure the team was as safe as possible and it wasn't his fault Alura was passive aggressive when someone accidentally brought up the boys heritage.

"Hmm." That's all he could think to reply with. What was the point really in words, just to get Kieth trying to comfort him with words that just seemed empty. "I'm not here to comfort you today." That was new, turning his head to the boy who was kneeling next to him he cocked a brow, "Oh?"

"You need to be honest with me outside of these little chats you have when you go off and sulk." The Cuban boy scowled softly, he didn't sulk, he just went out on his own without telling anyone and grumbled to himself about how stupid- okay maybe he did sulk but he didn't need Kieth pointing it out. "Well Mullet head maybe I don't need to be honest with you all the time, how many of the others are honesty twenty four seven?" This was not good, he didn't want to have to depend on people, he grew up being coddled by older siblings and coddling younger ones if he had to be dependent on a person it meant that he had to be close with the person and if he couldn't even voice in his own mind that he wanted to- Well you get the idea, if he couldn't even think of what he wanted to say or do how was he supposed to trust Keith with the stuff that went on up there?

"Non of the Lance, but maybe it's time we start. You pretend you're happy but it isn't hard to see in those minutes after each battle or argument how much it takes a toll on you. Look Lance, I'm here for you okay." And he went on, Lance trying to brake in only to be told to wait a second, he kept trying, he wanted to say something important but Kieth wasn't letting him.

"WHY WON'T YOU JUST LISTEN TO ME!?" In the end he ended up shouting and slammed his hands on his lions head as he sat up glaring at the Paladin next to him. "YOU ARE GOING ON ABOUT HOW IMPORTANT IT IS THAT WE COMMUNICATE AND WHEN I WANT TO YOU WON'T EVEN LET ME!" The black haired boy froze and looked at his Cuban friend, nodding, "Okay Lance."

Both boys ignored the shouting after what happened next. One second they were sat across from each other scowls and glares the next they were connected by the lips, Lances hands running through Keith's hair while Keith's were running up and down Lance's back, fingers sometimes inching just slightly under his t-shirt.

"I don't want to be dependent on somebody I don't understand my relationship with." Was whispered against Keith's lips as he pulled the Cuban boy he was currently making out with onto his lap. Pressing one last open mouthed kiss to Lance's lips he pulled the boy on his lap flush against him as he pressed his lips to the teens neck, just under his ear before kissing just behind it and whispering his reply; "Then let me show you our relationship." Pressing kisses down Lance's neck he nipped the skin by his collar bone as his hands softly drew circles and other shapes into the boys chest and lower back, while Lance had one hand still in his hair the other running up his spine with ghost like touches underneath the shirt that was starting to feel like a hinderance.

Keith didn't remember how long exactly they had been kissing before they both pulled apart, hands still roaming each other but no more kisses were exchanged. Lance was leaning onto the older but smaller Male with his head resting in the crook of his neck. Keith just enjoyed the silence and calm feeling he got from being around Keith like this. "Do you understand our relationship now Lance?" A smile was pressed against his skin as Lance placed a chaiste kiss to the already slightly bruising skin. "Maybe." A small smirk found Keith's features. "Maybe my ass."
