Lance hated this, he hated that this was his job and he hated that he couldn't tell anybody. They would genuinely hate him, the thought alone sparked the tears to well in his eyes. Why, why was he the one that had to do this? Did he seem that untrustworthy to Allura? Did Allura and Coran think so lowly of him that they could see him betraying the team and working with Lotor?
"Mm..." Looking to the side he saw Keith, beautiful, wonderful Keith. The boy he loved and the boy who loved him. Gone. That would all be gone. No more waking up like this, with Keith's warm form wrapped around him like a koala. No morning kiss when he needed it. He'd never be able to get it back either. He looked away and buried his face in his knees, he didn't want to do this.
"Babe?" Looking back over he put on a show, smiling widely and leaning forward to capture the other in an intense lip lock. Ever since they'd come out to the rest of the crew as together Lance had just felt... like he had so much freedom. And now, like a birds who's wings were being clipped, that freedom was being taken away.
Keith pulled away first, hands holding his cheeks as Lance realised he stared crying in the kiss. "Lance? Lance what's wrong?" Crying more and Shaking his head, Lance burrowed into his boyfriends chest carefully. He just needed to be held.
"You'd hate me... no I know you'd hate me. You'd never look at me the same way..." he saw Keith's eyes narrow at him. "Lance... what's going on with you?"
He rubbed his eyes. "Allura wants me to go on a solo mission." Keith sat up, the sheets pooling at his waist as he smiled wide and gained an excited air, " Lance that's great! Or... is it not?" He questioned as he saw Lance's weariness.
"Laura wants me to pretend to betray the tea, and go undercover with Lotor."
