Forever Alone?

Shane’s Point Of View
“Come on! Just have one smoke with me?!” My buddy James yelled at me. James has been my friend since the 2nd grade but sometimes I’m ready to punch him.
“No, like I’ve said, 100 times I’m trying to cut off that.” I replied smoothly. James rolled his eyes and then said “How was your first day of junior year?” James always likes to rub it in my face that he was a grade ahead, and was getting out of this hell hole first.
“Boring as hell.” I replied. “Remember that teacher Mr.Cadwell?” I asked. “Yeah the guy with the comb over.” James replied.
“Yeah him. He’s making everyone sit with one person, the same person for the entire school year! It’s so flipping retarded!” I moaned. But at least I’m not stuck with some ugly loser. That Abby chick is pretty cute, but I already got a vibe off her that she can’t stand me.
“Who you with?” James asked blowing a puff of smoke in my face.
“Abby Chandler.” I simply said.
“I know that girl. She lives down my street. She’s pretty smoking. She got a nice amount of curves, not too much, but not too little. Just the way I like ‘em. And her blonde hair is sexy.” James said, and I couldn’t help but agree. Abby’s a lot better looking than the girls we’ve been with.
“Anything else interesting happen today?” James questioned me, stomping out his cigarette. “Well, Lola mauled me right in front of that Abby chick. Then she begged me to ditch lunch, and go to the D wing’s janitor closet, and bag her, so now I’m flipping starving. And when I was getting dressed to my class, Lola went all, “I want us to be together” on me.” I replied. Now I need a cig.
“What did you do?” James asked, lighting up another cigarette. “I just walked out.” I said. “Can you give me a ride to Mo’s Car Repair?” I added. “Get in.” James replied pointing to his old beat up camaro. It literally looks like bumble bee from the first transformer movie.
“Hey, look who were have here.” James said as he pulled up to a stop light. I looked over to the dairy queen parking lot across the road from us, and there was Abby, and 2 other girls leaning against a red mustang eating blizzards.
“If you don’t get with Abby, I call dibs on bagging her.” James said, as I got out of his car, when we got to Mo’s.
See that’s what’s different between me and my buddy James. I have respect for woman. Maybe it’s because I grew up with only my Mom and older sister, and the fact that my sister practically raised me herself when our mom died. If there was a girl so drunk at a party, that she can hardly stand, I’m not going to try to get with her. I might even drive her home. If me and a girl are about to have sex, and she changes her mind, I’m going to let her go.
But James on the other hand, gets what he wants. He’ll sit there for hours, convincing a girl they should have sex. And he has no problem getting with a drunk girl, who isn’t going to remember a thing tomorrow. And at least I know how to be safe.
“You here for your car?” the owner Mo asked, interrupting my thoughts. “Yeah my sister sent a check from college to pay for it.” I replied.
“There she is.” Mo said pointing to my old beat up blue car. “And I didn’t except you sisters check. I understand how things are for you two, since I was a friend of your moms.”
“Thanks.” I muttered under my breath. I hate when people pity me, but at least now I have windshield wipers, and an AC.
Sorry this wasn’t out sooner, I had family issues. Hope you understand.- Dayna Oh and sorry if this is bad, ive never written from a guys point of view before(:
