"Ashley! Wake up!" I heard Elijah shout from downstairs. I groaned as I rolled out of bed and took on my clothes. I looked in the mirror and sighed. First day of Angelwood Academy, what can go wrong? That, is a very simple question when you are me. Everything.
I walked into the gigantic school. The pillars that were placed around the room were made out of sandstone and looked like pieces of fabric were spinning around them. I walked up to one of them and reached out with my hand to touch it. I felt the cold stone under my fingers and shrugged before taking a step back. So this was what this was, carvings. I think I read somewhere that these types of carvings cost alot of money to make. Depending on the quality of the carving of course. There was a big emblem in the middle of the marbel floor that had the three houses on it. Foxblood, Wolfdale and Dragonpride. I looked at one of the walls and there were the leaders of the diferent houses. I walked up to them and read out loud. "Kyera Scales - Dragonpride, Laurence Finch - Wolfdale, Markus Galloway - Foxblood" my eyes lingered on Laurence's picture. He didn't seem like a bully. I shrugged and spun around and saw the three leaders having a heated conversation in a corner. Kyera's eyes lingered on Markus for an awkward amount of time. Laurence on the other hand seemed very upset having to have a converstaion with them. I heard him from across the room when they hugged "oh get a room!" and all three of them burst out into laughter. I noticed now that Kyera had alot of dragon like features. A pair of black horns sticking out of her head, a pair of wings folded over her back and three tails with the tip of a scorpion's and spikes filling them. I shrugged at the thought and went to the principal's office to get my house.
I stared at the door to Dragonpride's dorm room. I silently reached for the door knob and twisted it as the door swung open. Kyera was sitting in a chair drinking a cup of tea chatting with other people. Some had dragon like features aswell. I looked around, they had a chandelier hanging from the roof spreading a warm purple light over the room. They had made this into something special, hadn't they? Kyera piped up and looked at me before waving me over. "Hi! I would guess you are Ashley? The new reqruit? I'm Kyera, nice to meet you!" the short girl stood up and reached out her hand. She can't have been more than 5'3 in height because this was a short lady. Her green waist long hair was tied into two pony tails that were swung over her shoulders. I took her hand and shook it. "N. Nice to meet you K. Kyera" I got out, I wasn't quite sure on what I was supposed to do before I heard a knocking on the door. Kyera sighed "It's probably Gear. Watch out cowboy" she walked up to the door and opened and she kinda melted seeing Markus. "H. Hi Mark!" she smiled at the tall man and I felt, incredibly miss placed now. I saw a sign that said 'Bedrooms' and walked up the stairs to a massive bedroom. There were multiple sections with everything you could ask for. On each desk there were a box of chocolate and I walked over to one of the signs that said my name on it. I sighed and started to unpack. What an eventful day this had been.
