Part 4

I wasn't really paying attention to class before Kyera poked me in the side and pointed to the classroom board. It said with big letters 'HOUSE COMPETITION!' House competition? I started to listen to the teacher. She said in a rather proud voice "There will be one winner and one loser. Since we have three houses here at Angelwood Academy, the house in the middle will win a few points to their house!" I looked around the room. I wanted to know what this competition was about. Were we going to be selling stuff around town? Girl scout cookies? Why werent the other houses here? Did they have own stuff that they had to do and were going to be informed about this later? I was really confused about this and went back to listening. "The competition will be divided into 3 parts." 3 parts? 1 part for each house? Or were we going to choose that activity for everyone to compete in? "You will be going to be given four options to choose from. The option with most votes will be what your team chose for the first part. The second part will be chosen by the Wolfdale's and the last part by Foxblood." the teacher started to write up the different options on the board. Interesting. There were 'Archery, Parkour, Food Competition and Sports' I looked at the options and my eyes lingered on the 'Food Competition' I loved food. "You will have untill tomorrow to choose what to vote for. Untill then you will have no more lessons with me for today" some in the room whispered "yes!" when some only shook their heads. I for one was happy, that meant I got to think more about my choices. 

I was walking to the cafeteria, I had gotten a text from Gear which said 'meet me at my table at Lunch' I thought that this was a great opportunity to get to know him and only responded with a short 'k'. I arrived at his table. He wasn't there but his members were there. They looked at me with menace in their eyes. Oh god. "Hey! Girly name!" they said in unison. I sighed. Here we go again. "You waiting for the alpha or something? Gon' ride him today?" they all laughed at Dante's joke. I shook my head "he told me to meet him here. Why the heck do you care anyway?" this wasn't like me. I never stood up to people. Dante stood up and grabbed my ear. I tried not to scream of pain. Where was Kyera when you needed her? He kicked me across the room and I landed in Gear's arms. I had gotten the kick to my stomach. I looked up at him and his eyes shifted from crimson blue to black and red. He was a ghoul. He hissed and put me on a couch. I looked at him as he beat up Dante. He hit him in the head with a roundhouse kick and Dante fell to the floor. Gear finished with spitting him in the face and saying "you touch him one more time and I will personally rip your insides out and eat them, got it?" Dante nodded and rushed back to his seat.

Gear walked over to me and crouched down to look at me "you okay?" his eyes went back to crimson blue. He wasn't like them. He cared about people. His eyes were shimmering in the dim shade of the windows. I nodded and rubbed my eyes "just a bit startled..." I mumbled. Gear nodded "let me make it up to you." he smiled and went up to the desk and came back with a chocolate cupcake. I smiled "thanks..." and grabbed it. Gear smiled and patted me on the head "anytime. I'll try not to let them get to you again. Okay?" he stood up and walked off. He was nice to me. Too good to be true. But wait. Had Dante called him alpha? Was that what they were ranked as in the position of captain? So Kyera was a dragon alpha? That must mean they are the strongest out of everyone here. I guess I would be ranked as an Omega since I had no clue on how to fight like someone normal. I was a weakling, atleast that was what people called me. If it was true or not I didn't know.
