You were taking a walk in the park when a dog walked up to you.

You-''Hey, there boy. Who do you belong to?''

You kneeled down in front of him and saw his collar. It had a police badge on it and his name was Samuel.

You-''So, you're one of the good guys or should I say good dogs?''

You smiled as you gently stroked his neck and he wagged his tail.

You-''Alright, let's go find your owner. It shouldn't be hard, right? All we gotta do is look for another police badge that's on a human.''

Samuel barked making you giggle. Then you heard someone call him.

You-''Sounds like that's you're owner.''

The man walked up to you and Samuel.

You-''Don't worry, he didn't get too far....''

You said as you looked up and stopped in mid sentence when you saw Detective John Shaw smiling down at you.

Shaw-''Hello, Y/N.''

You smiled and stood up.

You-''Detective Shaw. What are you doing here in the park?''

Shaw-''Well, even police dogs need a walk in the park every now and then.''

You-''Yeah, they all need a break from catching all the bad guys.''

You gently scratched Samuel's ear making him wag his tail.

Shaw-''You're really good with him. He normally doesn't approach strangers like this.''

You smiled and looked down at Samuel.

You-''Well, I guess I'm not a stranger then.''

Samuel barked making you smile and then you looked at Shaw.

You-''I'm also a vet. So, I've always been good with animals.''

Shaw-''That's great.''

You and Shaw smiled.

Shaw-''Hey, how have you been since the robbery last week?''

You-''I'm good. I haven't gone to the bank since but...''

You giggled making Shaw smile.

You-''I'm ok because I had a brave detective save my life.''

Shaw-''I was happy to save your life.''

You-''Thank you again. I know it's your job but it meant a lot to me.''

Shaw-''Your very welcome, Y/N.''

You smiled.

Shaw-''I'm really glad I got to see you again. In this line of work we don't often run into people we've saved.''

You-''I get it. Your job keeps you busy.''

Shaw-''It sure does.''

Samuel barked making you and Shaw smile.

Shaw-''I also wanted to ask you if you'll have dinner with me tonight?''

You-''Tonight?''

Shaw-''Yeah.''

You-''Alright.''

You and Shaw exchanged phone numbers.

You-''You can bring Samuel with if you want to.''

Shaw-''I'll see you tonight then.''

You-''Alright, bye guys.''

You walked off smiling and Shaw kneeled down next to Samuel.

Shaw-''Thanks, boy. You're the best.''

Samuel barked making Shaw smile.

Nick

You were at work doing your rounds when paramedics rushed by you again but this time you managed to stand out of the way. You watched them go by, turned around and saw a familiar face.

You-''Mr. Malloy.''

Nick-''Y/N, you work here?''

You-''I do. I'm a nurse.''

Nick-''But you weren't in uniform last week when I met you.''

You-''It was my day off. My sister was recovering from surgery and I was visiting her.''

Nick-''Alright. Well, looks like we're going to be seeing each other more often than I thought.''

You-''I guess we are. Well, I gotta finish my rounds.''

You smiled and walked passed Nick. He turned around and watched you.

Nick-''Hey, Y/N?!''

You turned around.

You-''Yes?!''

Nick walked up to you.

Nick-''How about we get some dinner one night?''

You-''You asking me out, Mr. Malloy.''

Nick-''I am.''

You smiled.

You-''I'd love to have dinner with you, Mr. Malloy.''

Nick-''Call me Nick.''

You-''Alright.''

Then the other paramedics called Nick.

Nick-''Gotta go. I'll see you soon.''

You-''Ok.''

Nick ran off as you smiled and blushed.

Jake

Amanda and Jake were playing pool in the bar as you were finishing your shift.

Jake-''You can't win, little sister.''

Amanda-''We'll see about that, bro.''

In the end, Jake won the game as you finished your shift and walked over to them.

You-''Good game guys.''

Amanda-''Jake, why don't you play against Y/N?''

You and Jake looked at Amanda.

Amanda-''Come on, it's just a friendly game.''

You and Jake smiled at each other.

You-''Alright, I'll play.''

Jake-''Me too.''

Amanda-''How about we make it interesting?''

You-''I knew there was a catch to it.''

Jake-''What are we playing for?''

Amanda-''If Jake wins, Y/N has to go out on a date with him.''

You and Jake looked at Amanda in surprise.

Amanda-''Come on, I'm only helping you along, Jake.''

You-''I'm in.''

Jake looked at you.

Jake-''You sure?''

You-''Yeah.''

You two smiled and then played. In the end, you won the game.

Amanda-''Better luck next time, big brother.''

Amanda walked off and then you stepped in front of Jake.

You-''So, where are you gonna take me on our date?''

Jake-''Wait a sec. I lost the game.''

You-''But I won and I still want you to take me out.''

Jake smiled as you smiled.

Jake-''You free Saturday night?''

You-''I am.''

You and Jake smiled at each other.
