During dinner, you & Shaw decided to give Shelley a call and you had her on speaker.

You-''Hey, Shelley. How's everything going?''

Shelley-''Great. She just ate, burped and now she's sleeping in her crib.''

You & Shaw smiled.

Shelley-''I just have one question.''

You-''What's that?''

Shelley-''I can't seem to get Samuel to leave the nursery.''

Shaw-''Is he laying next to the crib?''

Shelley-''Yes. Is that normal?''

Shaw-''Yeah, it is. Samuel's been sleeping in Emma's room ever since we brought her home.''

Shelley-''Oh, ok.''

Shaw-''Dogs are natural protectors. Plus, Samuel is a police dog. Protecting someone he loves is just who he is.''

Shelley-''That's great.''

You-''We should be home soon.''

Shelley-''Take your time, guys. Everything is fine.''

Shaw-''Thanks, Shelley.''

Shelley-''Bye guys.''

You & Shaw-''Bye.''

You both smiled as the call ended.

Nick

During dinner, you & Nick called Jay & Cindy and had your phone on speaker.

You-''Hey, Cindy. Is everything ok?''

Cindy-''Yeah, we're good.''

Jay-''Speak for yourself. I smell like sour milk.''

Nick-''What happened?''

Cindy-''Well, we fed Jack and while Jay was burping him....''

Jay-''Your son threw up on me.''

You & Nick tried not to laugh.

Jay-''I know y'all wanna laugh!''

Cindy-''Jack smiled about it afterwards.''

Nick-''That's my boy.''

You smiled.

You-''We'll be home very soon.''

Cindy-''Take your time. Jack's asleep.''

Nick-''Thanks, guys. We'll see you soon.''

Cindy-''Bye.''

You & Nick-''Bye.''

You & Nick smiled as the call ended.

Jake

During dinner, you & Jake called Lily & Amanda and put Jake's phone on speaker.

Jake-''Hey, sisters. How's our little angel?''

Amanda-''She's fine but we can't seem to get her to sleep.''

Lily-''I think she's missing you two too much. She knows you guys aren't here.''

You-''Oh. We better get home then.''

Amanda-''No. Don't cut your dinner short. I'm sure she'll eventually fall asleep.''

Jake-''Try playing her music box as she lays in her crib.''

Amanda-''Ok. We'll try.''

Jake-''We'll be home soon.''

Amanda-''Bye.''

Jake ended the call.

Jake-''You wanna head home?''

You-''Yeah. If Skyler doesn't get a good nights sleep, her sleep routine will be out.''

Jake-''Yeah. She'll be up all night and asleep all day.''

You-''Yeah.''

Jake took your hand.

Jake-''Let's get the check & go home.''
