Unspoken words
The words we've left unsaid.
The I'm fines
The neverminds
And the crying eyes, you've never seen
The yelling every other day
Ignoring each other to get peace and quiet
And to finally, be okay
The hushed whispers
Spoken at night
So your parents don't know I'm over
The kisses that make toes curl
And the words to follow.
Not yelling for weeks
Instead laying cuddled
Taking naps
Having laughs
Feeling like we have a life together.
How far we've come
To love enough
That we haven't split apart
How far we've come
To fight enough
To keep holding on.
How far we've come,
To make it here
And I hope we never stop
