SMUT WARNING! This is my first time writing smut so I'm sorry if it's terrible.

Yuri POV

I put the phone to my ear, listening intently to the continuous ringing until finally-

"Hello?" His smooth voice answered, sounding as beautiful as ever.

"Hey, just wanted to check you're settling in ok?" I asked, though wincing when I heard a crash in the background and a restrained 'fuck' from the other end of the line, "Victor...you ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," he said, cursing again as another crash echoed through the phone, "Just, you know, boxes everywhere."

I knew this was a lot for him to be doing, but honestly, I was so proud of him. In the four months since we'd been back together he'd really pulled himself together and made an effort; it was paying off too, that was clear to anyone.

"Do you want me to come and help you unpack?" I asked, sitting up on my bed and allowing my gaze to stretch down the long street until it landed on a tall apartment building. The bright sunlight reflected off the crystal-like windows and I could picture Victor in there. It was nothing extravagant, a little apartment with a kitchen unit and a small bathroom. But it was nice.

"No, don't worry about it," he replied, "I've got a shift at the rink in about half an hour, manning the desk, then teaching afterwards."

Of course he does.

He'd been picking up so many extra shifts lately, which was good...right? His apartment wasn't going to pay for itself, let alone living expenses. But however much I knew this and however proud I was. I was...proud. This was the third time he'd blown me off for work this week and that in itself was worrying.

If he wasn't working he was with me and if he wasn't with me he was studying. After all, end of year exams were right around the corner and I could see it in his eyes whenever I brought it up - worry. He didn't want to be held back another year and of course, I didn't want him to be either.

"Ok, but can I come over later?" I asked hopefully.

"I'll be home by six if that's ok?"

"I'll see you then!" I smiled before hanging up the phone, jumping off my bed and running down the stairs.

My mother had taken my sister Mari to look around some universities over the weekend so the house was all mine, to do with as I pleased, and I knew exactly what I was going to do.

The doorbell echoed on the other side of the door and eventually, I heard footsteps nearing the other side. As it opened I hid the bowls behind my back and didn't wait before pushing past Victor in the doorway and charging to the kitchen unit, almost tripping over the mass of boxes that littered the polished wooden floor.

"Yuri, what're-"

"Close your eyes!" I yelled and he did, albeit rather sceptically after closing the door behind me.

I left the two bowls on the spotless worksurface before working my way back, again through the cardboard maze to where Victor stood, waiting, with his eyes closed.

"Can I open them yet?"

"No, not just yet," I said as I took his hand, leading him to the centre of the room and pushing him down onto one of the boxes. He kept his eyes closed the whole time; it was nice to know he trusted me as much as I trusted him.
