I step into my first class of the day, French. I look towards Yuri at the back of the room who smiles hopefully at me, then towards the teacher at the front of the room who gives me a slight nod.
"Uh, I'm sorry class but I've had to change the seating arrangements a little. The teacher then calls out a few names, moving them from one side of the classroom to the other then turns to me "and Victor could you please go and sit next to Emily, and Cameron could you please take the seat next to Yuri." I slump down in my new position and pretend I cant feel the eyes burning the back of my head.
When the class ends I quickly pack up my books and head straight for my next class. "VICTOR?!" I hear a yell from behind me but ignore it, no good will come from me talking to him, it'll only make it harder to let go. Then other people start to rush into the corridor conveniently cutting off the smaller boy as I push my way through the crowds losing him somewhere behind me.

English ends I think about getting a hot meal at the cafeteria then realise I left my money in my car, so decide to spend lunch in the locker room so I didn't risk running into Yuri.
Making myself comfortable on the bench I slip my bag off my sholder, pull out a small piece of bread and begin to satisfy my hunger with the little food I have.
Suddenly the door slams open and I quickly stuff it back into my bag and trying to act casual.
"Victor, what on earth are you doing in here?" The PE teacher, Mr. Edwards, questions.
"I ummm- I just lef-" I stutter.
He sits down opposite me and his green eyes flick down to my bag on the floor before picking it up and pulling out a piece of half eaten stale crust.
"Is this all your food?" He sighs looking sadly into my eyes. I don't reply and try desperately to try and avoid his searching eyes. "Wait here, I'll go grab you something."
He returns a moment later with a box filled with two sandwiches and a bag of crisps. He holds out the box offering for me to take one. "I can't eat your food," I say turning away from him again.
"Well I'm not eating any unless you do, so it's your choice." he retorts, folding his arms to show he's serious. After a few minutes, I finally take one of the sandwiches from the box and bite into it.
"There, now will you please eat?" I plea and he picks up the other sandwich dramatically taking a large bite.
When the food is all gone he sends a smile my way, "Why are you helping me?" I ask sadly.
I watch him closely, waiting for a response. He looks around the room and his cheeks tint pink but still doesn't reply, instead leans in and plants a kiss firmly on my lips. Oh my god, I should push him off! But I don't, I let it happen. Maybe I need this, I need to stop thinking about Yuri, the most beautiful boy that I can't be with.
I don't kiss back and after a few seconds he leans back, "I'm sorry, I know you probably didn't want..." he starts but trails off, his chestnut hair falling in front of his eyes.
To be honest, I've never really noticed him that much before. He was just the PE teacher. But as I think back I realise little things, how he would always cheer me on in races or choose me to be team captain. So I reply confidently "It's ok," then brush the hair out of his eyes and pull him back in for another kiss. I need this, I don't need Yuri and he's better off without me.
We spend lunch making out and talking in the locker room. The bell rings and I start to shuffle, knowing people would soon start flooding in, "Could I see you tonight?" He asks drawing circles on my back with his finger.
"Like a date?" I question, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Umm well...yeah." He sighs.
"Um yeah, that'd be nice." I say, "But not around here... we can't risk people seeing us." My mind trailing off to think how Yuri would react if he knew, not to mention people going to the authorities.
"Of course, I have thought this through you know!" He beamed at me.
