My patience's has reached its limit. Waiting for Luke to finally get here was nearly torture. Every noise outside had me running to the window to see if was him. Every dog barking, the sound of laughter or even the slight sound of a car door shutting and I was running from my bed to poke my head out the window. Not only was I excited I was also nervous.

I had tonight all planned out but the missing component was him but he should be here any moment. Having patience is not my strong suit.

The doorbell finally echoed throughout the house and I jumped to my feet. My nerves were through the roof as I made my way downstairs to the front door.

I open the door and there stood Luke with his bag. "Quinn?" He questioned. His tone was nervous but whose wouldn't be after you travel halfway across the world by yourself.

"Luke you made it." I smiled at him. I moved out of his way so he could come inside. "Follow me upstairs. Our spare room is up here down the hall from mine." I led him up the stairs to what would be his room for the next few days. "The bathroom is across from my room on the other end of the hall," I tell him.

"I can't believe I'm actually. That you're in front of me." He said as he plops down on the edge of the bed. "Would it be okay if I hugged you?"

His accent was everything. His voice was music to my eyes. "You don't have to ask me to do anything," I said and he stood to his feet. He walked over to where I stood by the door and pulled me into his arms. He was tall which was nice because I was too.

"This is all so surreal," he said letting me go. "And this jet lag is a pain in the ass."

I didn't even think about how tired he'd be and I immediately felt bad for making plans for tonight when I should of considered he would want to rest before we did anything.

"Would you like to lie down and rest? You could rest and I'll order delivery and we'll just chill here?" I asked him.

"I still have some hours in me before I crash." He said smiling. "Lets do whatever you have plan for us."

I smiled and nodded. "Well before we leave I need to introduce you to my parents."

We went down stairs and found my parents in the kitchen. My mom was looking at the mail and my dad was sitting sitting at bar with a beer in hand glancing over bills she was handing him.

"Mom. Dad," I said interrupting them as Mom starting to snap that he spent to much on a tool box. "This is my friend Luke."

My mom smiled and my Dad held out his hand to shake Luke's. "It's nice to meet you, Luke." They both said.

"I hope you have a wonderful visit and please make yourself at home." My Mom says to him. "If you need anything please don't be afraid to ask."

Luke thanked my mom and I grabbed a hold of his arm and pulled him out of the kitchen and into the front hall. "We're going out for food," I yell back at my parents as I opened the front door. "Be back in a few hours."

Luke and I got into my car and we headed into town. There wasn't much conversation between us. Luke stared out the window and I just focused on the road. The radio was the only thing making noise. I didn't take Luke as shy from his letters. He seemed so outgoing in them. This awkward silence needed to end.

"You're quiet," I say to him as I knocked the radio down a notch.  "Are you a shy person?"

Luke laughed and shook his head. "I'm just taking everything in. This all so new to me, but no I'm not shy. You haven't said much either, though. Don't think I haven't noticed."

"I'm just in awe that you're here. So much is going through my mind about how we spent letters talking about one of us coming to the other but sometimes that's just all talk. We actually have it happening and I don't want to waste any of your time here with anything less than fun."

Luke's lips turned into a smile. "Quinn," He said. "We could just be sitting in your living room eating microwave meals while watching game shows or reality television the entire time I'm here and I would be having the best time ever. I finally got to meet my friend. That alone makes my entire weekend."

I couldn't help but smile at his sweet words. "Do you like Chinese food?"

"I love all food."

"Good." I said as I pulled into the parking lot of the local Chinese restaurant.

Luke and I got our food and took to a table near the back of the busy restaurant. This was the table my friends and I normally sat at when we came here. Riley even had her name scratched into the side she normally sat on, which I pointed out to Luke.

"So this is a go-to restaurant for you and your friends? I can understand why because this food is beyond fantastic." Luke said as he shoved noodles in his mouth. "This chicken has the right amount of spiciness to it with a hint of sweet pineapple. If we keep this up I'm going back to Australia a few pounds heavier than when I left."

"The noodles are my favorite. I haven't had the chicken you got. I usually just get the General Tso chicken."

"You seriously got to try this," Luke said stabbing a piece of chicken with his fork and holding it out to me.

I stared at the chicken on his fork unsure if I should pick it off and eat it or just bit it off.  Were we on that level of our friendship to share the same fork? This was a gray area and Luke sensed I was hesitant.

"Just bite it unless you're afraid of my coodies," He laughed.

I took the bite and he was right. That chicken was amazing and I might just have a full plate of it next time I came here. "Luke, I think I just fell in love with your chicken."

We finished our food and I could tell he was on my level of fullness by his moans and mumbles about possibly having to unbutton his jeans because they felt too snug now. I quietly sipped on my water trying not to laugh at him as I know that was his intention.

"Well, look who it is," A voice said and I turned. It was Calum and he was walking over to our table. "Are you going to introduce me to your new boyfriend?"

"I don't see how it matter's when you didn't introduce me to the girl you fucked behind my back." I spat at him. I was still salty. "Luke is my friend."

"Ah man," Calum smirked turning to Luke. "Dude you just got friend zoned, but I'd say its okay. You aren't missing much by being stuck there.

Luke stood up and towered over Calum by a few inches. "I am her friend." Luke scowled. "And I'm okay with just that. At least she wants me around. I can't say that much about you."

Calum stiffened up and took a step towards Luke, but Luke didn't budge. "You're on my turf and you will not disrespect me."

"Oh stop with the tuff boy shit," Luke laughed. "You're just jealous because she's enjoying her evening with me and chose not to take you back. You only approached us because you feel like you need to prove something. Go enjoy your evening and we'll continue with ours."

"You really fucked up," Calum whispered to Luke under his breath. "Watch your back."

"Come on Luke," I begged him as I stood up and tugged on his arm. "Not here." Luke gave in and I could see his body relax from the tension as he let me drag him out the door.
