I grabbed a hold of Luke's around to pull away but he remained solid in his stance as Calum approached. "Come on," I begged Luke but he still didn't move.
"Oh here we go again," I thought to myself as Calum stood in front of us smiling.
"We meet again," Calum said twisting his lips into a smirk. "I wanted to apologize for our last run in. I wasn't myself and I feel like we started off on the wrong foot. It's Luke right?"
My jaw dropped and I stared at Calum with a raised brow of confusion. This wasn't like him. After months of being a complete asshole to me plus how he treated Luke at the Chinese place and now he's coming to apologize? Something wasn't right.
"What's your game?" Luke questioned him.
Calum laughed. "I'm afraid I don't know what you mean."
"Calum," Luke rolled his eyes. "I'm not some dumb naïve person. I know people just like you who feel like they can just come walking in thinking they can play the dumb card to get close then and backstab over again."
"Oh, Luke." Calum shook his head. "I think your overestimating me. I'm making an effort here make amends. I'm looking for friendship-"
I cut him off. "You've got to be kidding me, Calum. I don't know what convening plan you have up your sleeve, but Luke and I aren't falling for it."
"Quinn, is it so hard to believe that I'm trying to do right and make up for what I did to you? I do love you even if you don't love me."
I felt the anger building inside of me as he spoke. I couldn't believe he has the audacity to say he still loves me to my face after everything. "You are full of shit, Calum Hood."
"Yes, I admit I fucked around with this chick at one of these parties. I was drunk. I made a mistake. I'm human." He pleaded taking a step closer to Luke and I but Luke stepped between us.
"You made a choice." I said angrily. "And you couldn't even be honest with me about it."
"Calum I think you should walk away." Luke said loudly.
"Don't tell me what to-" Calum started but I already took Luke's arm and pulled him in the opposite direction as I began breaking down.
We were out of view when Luke stopped me from dragging him and pulled me into his arms. "It's okay," I could heard him whisper. "He's stupid. Just ignore him."
I pulled back with tears still streaming down my face. With his thumbs, Luke gently wiped the wetness from under my eyes. He gave me a smile before kissing the top of my head. "He's only trying to get under your skin."
"Well it's working." I sighed crossing my arms against my chest. "I just can't believe him."
"Do you want to leave?" Luke asked me but before I couldn't answer we were interrupted by one of the last people aside from Calum I wanted to see. Especially now.
"Hey," said the blue eyed, blonde hair, tattooed covered shoulders girl that Calum cheated on me with. I still didn't know her name and I still didn't care. "I saw your fight with Calum."
"Did you enjoy the show?" I asked bitterly.
"Quinn, I feel bad. If I had known about you I wouldn't of let things happen. So no, I didn't enjoy the show. You're hurt and it's partly my fault." She responded and I just really I didn't know what to say but thankfully stepped in.
"If you don't mind I think this apology can wait until a better time." He said to her and she nodded.
"You're right, I'm sorry. I brought drinks are a peace offering." She handed a drink to Luke and I. I gave her a smile before she left us.
"I shouldn't be so rude with her." I said turning to Luke. "It's not really her fault. It's Calum's." I took a sip of the drink and Luke followed suit.
"Does this taste odd to you?" Luke asked licking his lips.
"No, it must just be a really strong drink."
"I don't know Quinn," Luke said looking at his drink and taking another drink."It taste of alcohol." I gulped down the contents in my cup. "Which is exactly what I need after that."
