TOMMY'S POV:

Okay, I have been in this train station forever. I really should have checked when the next train to Washington was. It might've already passed, I wouldn't have noticed.

Speaking of which, I should check what time it is and when the next train is coming. Otherwise, I might be here all night.

I open the app for the train on my phone. It says that the next train will be at 9:00. I check the actual time. It's 8:55. Better get going.

I've already paid for my ticket (the ticket lady was pretty confused by the fact that I was traveling alone but she still let me go) and I have everything I need- a map of D.C, some extra Cheetos from earlier, a water bottle, some money, and my pocketknife, which I probably will have to use at some point. I called Dad and Mom, letting them know what I was doing. Mom seemed pretty angry (since she doesn't play Minecraft all that much, she doesn't realize how dangerous and evil Herobrine really is) but Dad understood completely. He said he was proud of me for making the right choice.

I step onto the escalator and let it take me up to the top of the platform. The train was already there, so I walk inside and sit down on a chair beside the window. It's a cold and gray day, so there really isn't much to see out the window except for the skyline. Usually, the skyscrapers of New York City are beautiful at night, but there are a lot of clouds and fog tonight, so all I can see are lights through the smog.

There is a beeping noise as the doors slowly shut. The train lets out steam and I feel the bottom of my seat vibrate as the train begins to move.

I wish I brought a book. Everyone else on the train is either reading, talking, or on their phone. I didn't bring anything to read and I'm not exactly in the mood to talk to some random strangers on the train. So, I take out my cell phone, plug in my earbuds, and open a Google Play Music playlist that I created last year.

The first song that plays is 'Centuries' by Fall Out Boy. For some reason, it makes me think of what I'm doing. This is probably my greatest adventure yet. Before, I was just saving my friends' lives in a video game. Now, if I fail, all of America will be in danger. Heck, as soon as Herobrine's finished with the USA, he might even move on to other countries.

I must have fallen asleep on the train or something, because when I wake up, the train conductor is tapping me and telling me I'm here.

I step off the train, hurry up the platform, and gasp.

This is the coolest thing EVER!

I've always seen pictures of Washington, DC in pictures before, but it's even more exhilarating to see it in person. I've come out of the train station right in front of the Washington Monument. It's so big! I wish Bryne could see this. She would love it. We could sit on the bench right in front of the lake... the sunset would be shining on the lake... and we'll be-

Shut up, Tommy. Nobody needs to know you're crushing on Bryne.

Oh, shoot, I said that out loud, didn't I?

YOU HEARD NOTHING!

Anyway, I need to find somewhere to eat. It's 10:00 pm and I haven't eaten dinner yet. All I've had were a couple Cheetos I had on the train. So, I look around and find a pizza place. Good thing I brought money.

I walk inside. There are only a few other people in here. I sit down at a table. A girl comes up to me with a notepad.

"Hey, kid, are you here alone?" she asks.

"Yeah," I say.

"Okay..." she looks confused, but she still takes out her pen. "I'm Addie. I'll be your server. What would you like to drink?"

"Cherry Coke please," I say. "Small."

Addie nods, writes my request down, and steps over to the soda dispenser. A minute or two later, she's back with my Coke.

"And what do you want to eat?" she asks.

I stare at the menu. "Um...could I have two slices of plain cheese pizza and a side of garlic fries?"

Sorry. I have a giant appetite.

"Okay," she says. "I'll be back with your order in about ten minutes."

I take out my phone and continue that Super Mario Run level I started earlier. As soon as I fall about forty-eight times and finish the level, Addie comes back to my booth with my pizza and fries.

I take a bite of my pizza. Yum... delicious. This is so much better than that crappy pizza place my dad always makes Jenny and I eat from.

Suddenly, some idiot a few booths away from me yells, "hey, turn it up! Breaking news!"

Some other worker grabs the remote and presses the volume button until the whole restaurant can hear the TV. This guy on NBC is staring at the camera.

"Thank you, Anna," he says. "Now, I have some news for all of you. I will say with great regret that First Lady Ella Turner was killed earlier today at 9:53 pm. This has been the third political murder this week, and theorists believe that someone is trying to kill Robbins."

I gasp. Herobrine is supposed to be still in New York. Why had Turner just died? Maybe he has a partner in crime. Maybe he got some other terrorist to join him. Please let it not be that. Please.

Suddenly, a picture comes up next to Reporter Dude.

"This is the only screenshot the security cameras were able to capture of the murderer. Experts have closely looked the image, and something odd has stood out to them. For one thing, he- yes, it was male- seemed to be almost twelve feet tall, or about 4 meters. I know this seems crazy, but you won't believe this next part."

The image zoomed in on the guy's face.

"The killer also seemed to have unusual eye color. According to the experts who have looked it over, whoever it was seemed to have white eyes. We don't know who it is, however, we do know this- it is the same person who killed the chief guard and his associate the other day, so whoever it is, he is extremely dangerous. If you live near the White House, or just in Washington DC in general, I strongly advise you to keep your children inside and lock your doors, because if he tries to destroy something or someone in public, it could end up being the most tragic and deadly occurrence in America since 9/11."

I choke on my pizza. "Oh my gosh!" I say aloud. "Why is he in DC? He's supposed to be in NYC!"

I notice that everyone in the place is staring at me. Shoot.

"Are you okay?" Addie asks. "Do you know this man?"

What should I say? 'Yeah, I know him, he's a game glitch that escaped from my computer and he kidnapped two of my friends and he's trying to kill Robbins and take over America?' No way.

So I just say, "no. I don't know who he is."

But mentally, I'm panicking. I stare out the window. I should go.

I snarf down the rest of my dinner, pay Addie, and walk to the door.

"Are you sure you want to go alone?" says Addie. "He said you should stay inside."

"Yeah," I say. "I have to be somewhere..."

Except that somewhere I need to go is a place I really don't want to be at right now.
