TOMMY'S POV:
The girl- whoever she was- stared Herobrine right in the eyes. "Your choice," she growled. Then, she pulled back the trigger, shooting him in the face. She snatched his gun out of his limp hand and threw it on the ground. Looking at Herobrine, she smiled. She ran over to me and Bryne.
"Who are you?" Bryne asks, staring at her in shock and awe.
"My name is Isabella," she says. "I saw you being brought in here along with your other friends. Herobrine seemed really protective of you all. What is it?"
"He hates my guts," I say, staring at the ground.
Bryne raises her hand. "Same here. And the others are just... friends of ours."
I notice how Bryne hesitates before she says 'friends.' Did something happen?
Isabella looks at us apologetically. "I have some sad news," she says. "All of the other people in your cell... are dead."
I gasp, and Bryne looks like she might scream. "NO!" I yell.
"Well, not all of them," Isabella continues. "The two boys were killed by the girl with the cloak and the short hair."
"Not Sam!" I say.
"Is that the girl?" Isabella asks. I nod. "Then yeah, it was her. But the other girl- the one with the dark red tank-top and the blue hair- she escaped."
"Oh, thank goodness," I breathe. "That was Jenny. She's my little sister. But why in the whole wide world would Sam kill Tyler and Owen?"
Isabella shrugs, but Bryne answers.
"When I was going to get you," she says, "Sam woke up and saw me escaping. I told her what I was doing, and she told me I couldn't do it because if I went to get you, it would get her killed. I told her that didn't matter, and she said it did and she would rather you die, Tommy, than her. Then, she admitted that since she was a little kid, she wanted you dead for some reason. It was because she didn't like you, but I feel like there's more to it than that. And... I guess while I was here she killed Owen and Tyler, just because she could."
I'm in shock, personally. I never knew Sam wanted me dead. I thought we were best friends! If she wanted me dead, then why did she come with Bryne and the others to save me? Why did she even bother going on this adventure? But I totally agree with Bryne- there has to be something bigger going on with Sam. But really, all I can do is hope Sam isn't on Herobrine's side because if she is, I might have to kill her (not really but still).
I start crying. Bryne and Isabella both grab me and pull me into a hug. "It'll be okay," Isabella whispers. "I can get us out of here. If Sam wants to be a jerk then she can be a jerk. I don't care. And neither should you. I'm sorry to say this, but we don't have time to cry for those we've lost or be angry at those who have betrayed us. As prisoners of Herobrine, we have two goals- survive and escape. We have the full human right to be free, and if we work as hard as we can, we will be free. Trust me."
I really don't want to trust Isabella, since we just met her like five minutes ago. But the way she's staring at me with that hard, tough look in her eyes tells me that she doesn't like this any more than I do. Also, she has a gun!!
But you just met her!
She has a gun!
But she could be working for Herobrine!
Did you hear me the first time, brain? She. Has. A. Freaking. Gun!!!
"Okay," I say. "But you have to promise that you won't ditch or betray us at any point in time."
