TOMMY'S POV:
The feel of the whatever-it-is being slammed into my back pretty much knocked the wind out of me. I don't know what is happening. Had security caught me with my pocketknife? Was I going to be arrested?
Even though whoever it was told me to stay still, I turn my head a tiny bit to see who was behind me.
And I almost wish it was an officer.
"I knew I would find you here," says Herobrine, smiling evilly. "I knew it. You were too stupid to just stay home and stay out of it."
I have no reply to this. He was right. Why is it that, every time I try to help some people, I always end up making a really stupid choice?
Herobrine kicks me to the ground. At least the grass here is as soft as those fluff ball thingies my sister always uses to decorate her flip-flops. I spin around, trying to find him.
He looks even scarier in reality. His hair is even darker and extremely messy. Instead of the black NPC's smock he always wears in Minecraft, he's wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants. Under the sweatshirt is a white long-sleeved shirt. He's also wearing dark grey Nikes. But his eyes... they are so much worse. I never really thought about what they might look like in real life. It looks kinda like there's a white fire lit inside them. He's also holding something that's pointed at me, but I can't see what it is, for my vision hasn't returned to normal yet, for some reason.
As soon as my vision comes back into focus, I gasp.
He has a gun.
"W-W-Where did you g-get that?" I stutter, staring it.
"Oh, this 'ol thing?" he asks, spinning it around in his hand. "There was some dude selling them for a really cheap price. I bought one. It's really fun. It's like a bow, except it hurts a lot more. I shot myself with it. That was a mistake. Well, I'm still immortal, so the wound healed right up."
He pulled the starter thingy and pointed the gun directly at my face.
"Too bad I can't say the same for you."
He pulls the trigger.
I quickly leap up and dodge the bullet. It hits the ground below me and explodes. Not even thinking about what may have happened if I hadn't dodged that, I hold up my pocketknife for him to see.
"You think that silly thing will stop me?!" he snarls. "Didn't you learn anything from fighting me in Minecraft?"
"Yeah, I learned something," I say, smiling fiercely. "It's that you're as stupid as you are evil."
Herobrine screams and runs towards me. But before he can reach me, I cartwheel over him, landing in the spot where he just was.
"Rule Number 47- when fighting, always be one step ahead of your opponent," I say, remembering that from when Shawny first taught me to fight.
"Yeah?" Herobrine asks. "Well, I know some things too!"
From his back pocket, he pulls a sword.
"Don't think I was the only thing that left Minecraft," he yells. "Try to fight against both of these."
"You're on!"
I sprint towards him and throw my pocketknife right at his face. He deflects it with his sword and aims at me, but I'm already sliding under him. As soon as I get out from underneath him, I punch him right in the back of his head. I catch the pocketknife with one hand and immediately shove it into his head.
"GAAH!" he shouts, yanking the knife out of his head. Blood drips down the sides of his head, but the hole where the pocketknife was sealing itself up.
"You'll pay for that!" he growls, and he runs toward me. I think I'm ready for him.
But I'm not. I try to throw another punch at him, but he throws his sword and it lands on my arm. The tip of the sword lodges itself into the ground, trapping my arm underneath it.
Herobrine smiles evilly and points the gun right at my face. He leans in closer to me, because he knows the gun will do maximum damage if it's closer to its target.
"You always were a persistent fighter, Gameknight999," he says. "I knew you wouldn't give up without a fight. Sadly, well sad for you, I have beaten you. I always have, and I always will."
"You won't," I say, trying to sound as strong as I can when there's a gun in my face.
"I will," he says. "Don't deny it. Admit it. I'm better, stronger, and smarter than you."
He loads the gun.
"And now," he says, his eyes glowing brighter as his madness grows, "it is time for you to die."
I take a deep breath and close my eyes, as if that will change anything. I was thinking that maybe if my eyes are already closed, I can't die.
As I sit there, waiting for the unbearable pain, I hear someone scream.
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!!"
Bryne?!
