I don't think I even took a breath as I walked to open the door. I opened the door and just stared at him for a second.

(Y/N): "What did you just say?"

He put a hand on my shoulder and pushed a few strands of hair out of my face with his other hand, resting it on my left cheek. He smiled, even past his bruised cheek.

Chris: "Sweetie... Piers is alive. He's being air-lifted to a hospital in china right now. We won't be able to get to see him until tomorrow morning."

I dropped to my knees in the doorway, sobbing into my palms. Chris knelt down, holding me close.

(Y/N): "He's alive? Hes really alive?"

Chris: "He's alive and he's in stable condition. Pack a bag and get yourself in a shower, there's a chopper in it's way here now."

I hugged him tight, almost expecting to wake up any minute.

(Y/N): "Thank you."

Chris: "For what?"

(Y/N): "I knew he was alive, and i knew you would find him."

We both stood up and started packing. We were ready to leave within an hour, and the chopper arrived a few minutes after.
                                                                   ----Time-skip:China----
I don't know how long the flight was, but i remember landing on the roof of the hospital. Someone was waiting there for us.
Chris had to practically yell for me to hear him over the chopper.

Chris: "I made a few arrangements."

(Y/N): "What do you mean?"

Chris: "I was able to get you into the room with him,I'll be let in, in the morning."

I practically jumped out of the helicopter, running past the man waiting for us. Chris yelled to me that piers was on the 5th floor, but i was already running down the stairs. It felt like I was being pulled in his direction. Like something was leading me to him. There was a soldier outside the door, and i was stopped from pushing past him.

Soldier: "Name?"

(Y/N): "(Y/N), (Y/M/N), Nivans."

My heart was pounding out of my chest, my legs and my lungs felt like they were on fire.

(Y/N): "There were arrangements made, I'm his wife."

Soldier: "And just who made these 'arrangements'?"

As if on Que, Chris came running down the hall.

Chris: "I did."

Soldier: "Name?"

Chris: "Chris Redfield, now for the love of god, let her in!"

He stepped aside and opened the door. When i walked into the room, my jaw dropped. They had put him on one bed an his right arm on another one next to him.
Even with everything Chris described, I never even imagined it looked this painful. He was stil in his B.S.A.A. uniform, but his arm was a mess of spikes and shards. The entire arm was pulsing and twitching, I started sobbing, somehow not even making a sound. The room was filled with silence, except for the sound of the heart monitor.
There was a chair on his left side. I sat down and took his hand, being careful not to touch the wires and breathing tubes. He was still unconscious, like he was sleeping. My hands were shaking.

(Y/N): "Hi honey. I don't even know if you can hear me, but I'm right here.... I never gave up hope. I knew you were still alive. Here, let's get this off you."

I slipped his glove off, running my thumb over the silver band on his finger.

(Y/N): "That's better, right?"

I put my right hand on his face, then up behind his head.

(Y/N): "I'm gonna be here when you wake up, I'm not going anywhere. Just wake up, baby. I never gave up hope. And you can't either."

I leaned over and kisses his forehead through the bandages covering the right side of his face.

(Y/N): "I don't know how, but i promise... we'll fix this."

After a few minutes, a doctor came into the room. She was younger then i expected a doctor to be. She had dark brown, almost black hair pulled back into a low ponytail, her eyes were a dark blue, standing out against her light skin tone. Her eyes were focused on her clipboard until she heard me sniffle.

Doctor: "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't see you there. You must be his wife. I'm Dr. Leena, but you can call me Emma if it makes you feel more comfortable. I must say, your husband is quite the fighter. He was found in the wreckage of the testing facility. Somehow the virus kept him alive without food or oxygen all this time. When he was first brought to us, he had some sort of, for lack of a better word, shell formed over his nose and mouth. Covering almost like an oxygen mask would. When we were able to remove it, his vitals started dropping drastically. But before we had the chance to do anything, he started to stabilize on his own. Eventually he was completely stable, and able to be moved into a room. As far as whatever 'abilities' the virus had originally given him, the time in the water counteracted the electrical current in his body. In other words, the water shorted out the electricity in his body and redirecting it to injured parts of his body. It's almost like the electricity was somehow changed into a type of antibody. Meaning that there COULD be a chance that his arm may be alive. When he wakes up, the next step is one of 2 options: we can either surgically remove the arm, or we can basically freeze the arm and try to save it... IF it's actually healed. But we won't know for sure if it has until we can run some more tests. We've tried to wake him up, but nothing's worked. Now it's all a waiting game."

(Y/N): "Thank you. I know he'll wake up. He's stronger then you think."
