Part 28

Somehow Harry convinced me to go to their interviews with them.  He said he wanted me to see him at work.  He is so proud of what they’ve accomplished and he wants to share that with me.  How could you say no to that?  I did tell him if I get scratched again that I’m never leaving the house again.

We are standing outside waiting for the car to pick us up which I think is not smart since now I’m sure the whole world now knows where I live.  That’s going to be fun to come home to later.  Luckily we don’t have to wait long and one by one we file in and Liam is already there.

“I’m surprised you guys are standing.  I left pretty late and you all were still up,” Liam says.

“If I would have known you all had to work today I wouldn’t have let these chuckleheads talk me into throwing that party,” I say as I glare at Harry and Lou.

We don’t have to drive too long before we are at the venue where the interviews will be taking place.  As we pull up the first thing I see are flashes going off from paparazzi trying to get pictures from in the car.  Once I regain sight I notice the sea of fans who are behind the paparazzi and where the streets are roped off.  I quickly take mental notes of where they have security stationed.

Off to the right of the stage that is set up with a table and place markers with their names on them where they will be sitting there are the police and I suddenly begin to think it’s a possibility my life will be in danger in 15 seconds when we have to leave the car.  Paul gets out and escorts them to the stage.

I quietly try to sneak out with other security team members but I am spotted and a swarm of paparazzi surround me and flashes go off.  I can’t see where I am going and I can’t hear Paul because between the paps asking me questions and the fans screaming at me I can’t even hear myself think anymore. I don’t know what to do so I just stop all together.  I put my hand over my face to shield my eyes so I could make my way to one of the security guards working the venue.

I finally spot Paul and make a run for it.  I push a few paparazzi to the side and run as fast as I can.  Security finally steps in and I make it to Paul out of breath and scared to death.  Is this what my life is going to be like from now on?  Am I going to be able to handle it?  Will it get any better?  I feel my phone go off in my pocket so I look to see what it says.  It’s a text from one of my friends back home. ‘They know your name.’ And now it’s going to get worse.  I look at one of the monitors that’s set up with a view of the stage.  They obviously just made a joke at Harry’s expense.  He’s smiling and looking down at the table but is glaring at Lou out of the side of his eyes.  Is this all worth it?  Is he worth it?  My phone uncontrollably starts to vibrate. Without looking I already know that it’s all twitter notifications.  So it begins.
