the next two days at school was quite odd and really unexpected. everyone couldn't stop discussing about the news that had been going from one student to another until the news finally reached the girls by a freshman. the girls were standing at their lockers when they heard the unwanted, unneeded news that could make or break lisa and rosé's relationship: someone had a crush on lisa.

rosé has been so eager to find out if this information was true, but no one would tell her who the person was. everyone could only tell her it was a girl because they, too, didn't know who she was or any background information about her. lisa countlessly told rosé to calm down and don't stress over it, but that's two things that rosé couldn't do. she had to meet this person to list so many reasons why lisa wasn't for her.

the day has soon come when rosé had finally met the person she had been waiting to meet: the girl who had a crush on lisa, lina. she, too, was a foreigner, but she's from california. lina was a girl with big brown eyes and her skin was sun-kissed with brown hair that flowed with the wind whenever she went outside. she basically looked like a teenage model. rosé thought that if they bonded by using english, it would make rosé more of a friend to the girl when really she just wanted her gone.

apparently, right now, rosé and lina were talking about nonetheless, lisa. rosé tried her best to make lisa seem like a bad person, but lina was just a kind person and she obviously believed in second chances. "i'm telling you, lisa is a bad person. she drinks all the time and she doesn't even listen to other people ever. talking to her is like talking to a wall." rosé heard lina chuckle, paying close attention to whatever rose had to say.

"rosé, i'm sorry, but whatever you say will not make me give up on lisa," lina said, standing up from her seat on the bench. rosé silently sighed, giving up on the last piece of hope that was held in her. "aren't you her stepsister?"

the question scared rosé because she didn't think that lina knew or would even ask her that. "yeah, why?" rose hesitantly answered.

lina chuckled, pushing a few strands of her brown hair behind her pierced ear. that's one thing that made lina perfect for lisa. lisa's has always been talking about getting her ears pierced, but rosé has always turned down the offer. just imagine when lisa finds out about lina's ear piercings. "then, you must hate lisa. don't worry, i'll be fine. lisa and i will be a great couple if i can actually get her attention, hopefully. goodbye, rosé."

rosé sighed, thinking of other ways to make lina forget about lisa, but her thoughts were interrupted when the said girl stopped in her tracks with a bright smile on her face. "yes?" rosé said, knowing a question was coming.

"your always around lisa. can you help me?" lina asked, practically begging for the older girl to say yes. rosé sighed, forcing a smile on her face. "i guess so." rosé looked up at the girl. lina clasped her hands together, happily. she hugged rosé and said her thank you's and goodbyes, finally walking out of rosé's sight.

"hey, i was looking for you." jennie approached rosé, practically scaring the girl that sat alone on the bench. rosé lifted her head up, laying on jennie's shoulder, thinking about everything she had just done. "lina just asked me to help her get lisa to talk to her."

"let me guess, you said yes?"

"yeah, but i'm pretty sure lisa doesn't wanna talk to her."

"um, well, lisa is talking to her right now. look." jennie pointed to the two girls that were talking about whatever from a distance. rosé angrily groaned, standing from her spot to only be pulled back down in her seat. "jennie, let go." rosé watched as the two laughed about whatever, almost bumping heads from lowering their heads at the same time.

"no, you'll only make things weird. you're acting like you're not her older stepsister. you can't keep trying to tell people to stay away from lisa because it's not going to work." jennie explained, fighting rosé's energy to try and break lisa and lina apart. rosé finally gave up, watching the two walk away. rosé rolled her eyes, defeated.

"forget it, i'm going home. please, tell lisa that i didn't feel good." rosé sighed. when she walking home, all she could think about was what jennie said. she was right. rosé was lisa's stepsister, nothing more, and nothing less. years would pass and lisa would have many girlfriends that weren't rosé. all because rosé was just her stepsister who would always secretly be the other girl. rosé couldn't stop herself from calling herself that because it did make sense in her head when she looked back at all the memories that had of being stepsisters.

when she was finally home, she opened the door to be met with no one which was extremely happy and thankful for. she just wanted to watch movies and sulk for a good hour or two. she couldn't take her mind off of lisa and lina, but she had to, eventually. their stepsisters and they aren't meant to be together. was the universe sending her a signal that they should give up on each other?

her mind was occupied with thoughts that she didn't even notice lisa sit next to her on the couch until the younger had said something to her. "hey, rosé." lisa smiled, but it shortly dropped when rosé had ignored her, sadly. instead of replying back, rosé turned off the movie, walking to the kitchen. lisa stood from her spot, confused. "is there something wrong?"

"no, there's nothing wrong. i just need to accept it." rosé simply said, going her to her bedroom. lisa sighed, sitting down on the couch, thinking about what she had did throughout the day and if it made rosé like this or not. what did she do?
