Chapter 22

It's burning all around and I'm trapped in a box... the smoke is getting in my lungs and I can barely breathe....I keep banging on the wooden door... yelling... but no sound comes out... I continue banging... bang...Bang...BANG!!

I nearly fall out of my bed, as I'm startled awake by the banging on my door. Yes, that's right I started using the bed. I was too exhausted by the adventure I had in school today, that I just crashed in as soon as I returned. I check the clock on the wall. Its ten minutes past eight. The banging on my door continues. I grab a bottle of water and get out of bed to open the door.

" I'm coming!", I call out annoyed with the banging and it stops.

I open the door and Keiden and two other guys just barge in. One of them even takes the bottle away from me. I'm a little flustered.

" Sure... come on in", I say sarcastically at the empty doorway before shutting the door.

I turn to face Keiden and quite frankly my mouth turns dry, making me wish I had that bottle of water with me. That six feet hunk of muscle was standing in my room wearing nothing but a pair of shorts. His washboard abs are out there in plain sight for me to drool over. While I'm still chocking on my saliva, he pulls me into a man hug and I nearly melt in his arms. I reluctantly pull away from him and mumble a 'hello'. And just when I thought he couldn't get any cuter, he smiles at me revealing a pair of dimples. I stand there rubbing down my goosebumps and grinning like an idiot.
" Olivers...meet Victor... " he says pointing at really buff guy with a crew cut dark hair and the deep blue eyes. We shake hands and he literally grunts a 'Hi'. While I'm still trying to place this guy, the dude who stole my water, slings his arm on my shoulders.

" And I' m Vince... Victor's twin. But as you can see, I'm the fun twin.", He says grinning ear to ear. I slither out from under his arm and take the water from him. After chugging down half the bottle, I turn to face Keiden.

"What's happening? Am I in trouble?" I ask him. Keiden tenses visibly, making it clear that something is wrong.
"Well, dude... the thing is ... there is a summons issued in your name by the alpha council. it's about the incident in school.", he says.
" Is that something really bad?" , I ask him even though I can guess the answer.
" Bad? Bro... from what I heard from my mate, you really shook up that doc at school. Personally, I would give you two thumbs up. That doc is a douche. But he is part of the neighbouring pack. So you know.....khaboom " Vince tells dramatically.
" Great... what now ?" I ask them.
" You come with us." Victor says, escorting me to the door.
I follow them silently. Though I don't show it, I'm really scared of what might go down in this meeting.
Suddenly I feel the weight of an arm on my shoulder. Keiden smiles at me reassuringly and pulls me closer to him. His warmth seeps into me and I feel oddly very happy.  " Relax Peter. You are one of us now.", saying so he releases me from his grip, " you guys go ahead. I will meet you in front of the office." Keiden smiles at me and jogs the other way.

Rest of the way I'm stuck between Vince's verbal diarrhoea and Victor's occasional grunts.  It takes us roughly 10 minutes to get to the alpha's office. There  I'm greeted by Keiden and his father, Delta Alexander Bremen. That's when I notice that Keiden looks just like his father. Keiden who is now fully dressed, to my great disappointment, winked at me as we approached. My heart fluttered a bit and I look down to hide my blush. Good Goddess! I think I have a major crush on that guy. 
" Peter Olivers. As per the rules and traditions of this pack, it is my duty to make sure that you are no threat to the Alpha or any dignitaries inside. So I have to bind you before you enter." the Delta tells me holding out a pair of silver handcuffs.
" Dad!!! Peter is no criminal. You cannot do this to him. " Keiden protests immediately. When his father pushes past him, ignoring him completely, I see his eyes turn and his wolf surfacing. The last thing I want is a fight between father and son. So I step in front Keiden and place my hands on his chest. " Its ok Keiden," I tell him. When he still doesn't back down, I let some of my alpha aurae seep through and "Keiden... Keiden. Snap out of it. "  Almost immediately he calms down. He brushes my hands away and walks over to his dad.
" Sorry, dad. I just felt protective of my friend. I'm sorry. And I still feel you shouldn't,t bind him " he apologizes.  Before his dad could say something, I jut in, " It's ok. Sir, I totally understand. Rules are rules." I hold out my hands and let the Delta cuff me. Unlike for other wolves, silver does nothing to me. So wearing the cuff was no big deal. I smirk at Keiden and then follow his father with a smile plastered on my face with the knowledge that Keiden cares about me. Maybe he is the one I can finally open up to. Maybe he is my mate.
