Narrator 's PoV:

A young woman with blazing red hair can be seen rushing past a busy diner and sneaking into the alley road behind it. She pulls her coat closer to her body nervously and buttons it up. She knew it was safe. After all,  an adept witch like her can handle pretty much anything. But the thought disturbing her ever cheerful spirit was the news she comes bearing. She had a vision last night. And by all the gods old and new she believes in, she wishes that it was just a bad dream and not a vision into the future.

Once she reaches the back door of the diner, she takes a deep breath to calm her nerves. " Maybe I should go back.", She thinks to herself. Maybe she was just being too silly. Maybe it's just not that important enough to get the whole coven riled up.
" Oh, Sigh!! Who are you kidding Victoria?", She scolds her self and walks upto the door. To untrained eyes, the  door is nothing out of the ordinary. But to those who know where to look, and more importantly how to look, this is no ordinary door. It is the secret portal to the place where her coven often holds meetings. She pricks her finger to draw blood and smears a drop on the door knob. And almost immediately runes appear on the door. Pressing the runes in the correct order, she whispers, " Defendo vitas secreto".  The code which when translated roughly means- I protect the secret with my life, has been their password for as long as she could remember. It has long forgone it's purpose as a password. Now it's more or less like a slogan representing what they as a coven stands for.

The runes glow green and the door unlocks itself. Victoria checks her surroundings and once she is certain that no one is watching her, she opens the door and steps into the dim lit room.
" Defendo vitas secreto... Sister.", A young girl greats by touching her forehead with her right hand. Victoria greats back in the same fashion, " Defendo vitas secreto, Abigail."
" Our sisters have all gathered in the library and are eagerly waiting for you. You go right ahead. I have to check on the food for tonight.", Abigail says leaving Victoria infront of the library.

Victoria watches as the young witch vanishes into a puff of smoke. She smiles to herself. Abigail was always a fan of theatrics. Victoria takes a deep breath and pushes the door open. The library is well lit and the other members of her sisterhood are seen gathered in the centre of the room. Victoria has often felt that she sticks out like a sore thumb everywhere, except the sisterhood. As an orphan, she never understood why strange things kept happening to her. Finally, when she felt she could not handle it anymore, a fifteen year old Victoria decided to end it all and had jumped into a river. Strangely, she woke up on a cosy bed and there was a bowl of hot soup and fresh bread on the side table. This sisterhood of witches had saved her. They had realised her potential and how a misguided child needed refuge. From them she learnt her heritage and how witches are the true children of earth. Legend has it that the moon goddess had created witches as care takers of earth. So their loyalty is only towards the goddess and now the moon child.

The other members greated her as she took her destined seat. The chief mage, Benitta is seated at the head of the table and looks as regal as ever. She raised her hand to silence every one and said, "My sisters, I welcome you all. This meeting was requested by our augur - Victoria. He visions have always been of great significance and help for our cause. So I grand Victoria my permission to speak."
" Urmm... Ummm...", Victoria clears her throat and stands up.
"My sisters, last night I had a vision.... No...no... I had a dream." Victoria begins explaining." But strangely I wasn't alone. Im sure that the augurs amongst us will agree with me when I say that our spirits often off from our bodies into the land of mists. And it is when this happens, we call it a dream. Most beings reach this world between worlds unknowingly and have no control over what happens there. Also this world is the common ground for all dreamers.  But we augurs being futurists, we are self aware as spirits and can control our actions just like when we are awake. So we often use dreams as tools for collecting vital information. Last night when I was dreaming, I felt her presence. I know you might think I'm crazy, but I'm sure I felt her numerous eyes staring at me. I was sure it was Matia."
