Chapter 11: I have a plan

I got on with the second week of school in Matthias High. I am still figuring out who is 'J' from the note left last week, I also showed Alex the note after we got home. She is not a girl to stir up fights or stubborn so she obeyed what the note told her and parked away from Marcus' car away as possible.

Alex POV

Friday night, the boys and I decided to have a game night, we lounged around the game room, playing Mario Kart with four players.

Mark winning most of the time, seven, while I'm one mark below him, and Jeremy and Ryan tied with four. We played a total of 17 games and we got tired of playing. We all ended up lying down on our own pillows and snacking on chips while looking up to the tall ceiling.

It was silent except the crunch of the chips we are chewing. It is ironic that their parents are doctors but they allow them to have this once in a while-every friday night. 'This' being staying up all night, eyes fixated on the TV and eating unhealthy snacks while lying down.

"Who do think 'J' is?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"I'm not sure, I mean it shouldn't be Marcus right? Marcus don't give any warnings, and would just go ahead and do it. Who will be even nice enough to even look out to us-"

"Don't say that." an unexpected soft voice came out from my mouth. I sat up and straightened myself. He followed. I look at his eyes, his hazel coloured eyes lightened.

"I'm fine." he told me and smiled.

I was about to tell him it's not, but he cut me off.

"As I was saying, Who will be even nice enough to even look out for us, and warn us about Marcus' actions, the only one that could know Marcus' round abouts could be his friends, or family." his voice dying out like he discovered something.

Somebody already popped in my head.

"Andrea Jensen."

"How come we haven't figured it out easily? Remind me to thank her later." I smiled feeling grateful.

During class, I met a few new friends. Archer and Bea James, both are siblings.  I was put to their table in Home Ec Class.

They are both hysterics. They're not twins, they don't even look identical. Bea is a year older than Archer, they both just moved back from Italy who were born and grew up there. Unfortunately Bea has to repeat another year.

I love their brother-sister relationship, first they would annoy around each other for fun without any hard feelings then they would just laugh about it. I even thought they are dating. They make me wish I had a brother. They are also really nice, they will always put you first. They won't care who you are and will treat you as a friend. They are also the type of people that if you mess with them, you know what's going to you.

We are now queuing up to get our lunch. Archer talking to his sister about what happend during his Mixed Martial Arts class. I looked around for Ryan and the boys,

'Dyl got me. He head locked me so I elbowed him on the side hard but I still couldn't slip out. He got a good grip on me, made my neck so sore.' he said rubbing the back of his neck. 'He is really good.'

She clicked her tongue and patted Archer on the back, mocking him a little. 'You really have to start stepping up your game a bit more, little brother.'

'Gee, thanks Bay. But seriously, I think I will. I'm letting Dylan beating me through it.'

'Dylan is Archer's childhood best friend. He doesn't study here in Matthias, he studies in a private school near here. They both joined a mixed martial arts class together.' Bea turned to me to explain what they are talking about for me to join in their conversation.
