Chapter 8: School?
The rest of the Vacation went on smoothly and there is down to two weeks before my official first year in Matthias High. The one two months ago didn't count, it was somekind of a taster thing. This last two weeks, all of us are catching up in doing our Summer Homework. I did half of it in the first few weeks of summer so it wasn't that much of a hustle, but then over the summer I forgot how to do some of them so I have to ask Ryan'erd. ( Ryan'erd = Ryan+Nerd, hahaha I made that up when I told him that I need some help for homework and he was "boasting" at how pro he was at it. )
Everytime we have the chance doing them, we would end up playing around. I don't think I am that dumb or that smart, let's just say I have an average teenager brain, well maybe more than a bit average. I'm sober enough to do anything teenagers do for "fun" nowadays. It wasn't that hard to do them, but I do need some assistance, and not long later, we finally finished them.
Ryan slammed his thick homework book close, leaning on his chair's head rest and putting his arms behind his head.
'Finally...' he said, making a sigh of relief.
'Uh-huh.' my voice muffled, my face rested on my crossed arms. Finally I get to relax...
We fell into silence for a minute or two, getting sleepy into the comfortable silence....
'Alex..' I heard Ryan said. Ignore.
'Alex..' he said again, this time rubbing my back, making it easier to fall asleep. Definitly ignore.
'Alex..' he said louder this time. Making me almost jump from my seat, resulting to a small twitch instead.
'What.....................?' I whined. I lifted my head to look at him.
'Wanna go take a walk to stretch?' he asked, messing my hair.
'Ugh...' I grunted. 'Ryan...... I'm sleepy.' dropping my head back on my arms. I felt him stood up from his seat, him to bump on my chair causing me to spin. 'Dang it, Ryan..' I glared at him, too tired to yell at him.
'I'm getting some starbucks.' he said going to the door. Starbucks.. I know he is teasing me.
'Ryan..' I called after him, when he dissapeared in the corner.
'Yes?' his head popped out at the door. I saw him trying to hide a smirk, trying to make an innocent face.
I found a scrunched up paper we used for rough a while ago and threw it to his face, barely reaching him, and fell on my knees energy low.
'Ryan! Help me up!' I called for him. My eyes closed, my eyes opening again when I felt someone towering over me. I saw Ryan holding his arms, looking down at me.
'Are you coming or not?' he asked, tapping his foot next to my head. I nodded, slapping his feet.
'Eww, get your feet away from my face. It frickin' stinks!' I said trying to get up, but then I felt pain went through my feet. I groaned, can't stand up.
'Ryan.. Help me up! I got cramps.' I stayed down, unable to move. I heard his feet shuffling on the carpet from the side of my head to my feet massaging it. A while later, I felt the pain from my feet lightened. I stood up later, watching him massaging my feet.
'Is it better now?' he looked at me through his glasses.
I nodded. 'Thanks.' I said, smiling.
He smiled at me for a second then making a face. 'Eww.. I touched your feet now, and it stinks.' Pushing my feet off him.
I laughed at his pay back, playfully smacking him on his arm. 'Hey!'
He laughed and put out his tongue to me.
