Chapter 3: First day of Last day of school
After lunch, aunt Becca showed me to my new room, since none of her of sons are willing to, except little Jack.
We stopped in front of a closed door. Before she opened it she said.
'Hope you like it, Alex.'
I looked at the room displayed in front of me, it looks like a sample from ikea. It looks so neat and organized, the walls are bright yellow with a queen bed in the middle of room, a window seat on the side and a walk in closet with shelves on the left.
'Do you like it?' I looked back and realized aunt Becca was still standing behind me, she half smiled.
'Yes, I do. Thanks aunt Becca.' I nodded.
Aunt Becca's smile went to a full smile.
'No problem, Alex. If there's anything you need, I will be downstairs. I will call you later for dinner.' She said clasping her hands together.
'Thanks, aunt Becca.' I smiled and hugged her. She hugged me and patted me on my back.
'I'll leave it to you now.' She said after we finished hugging.
'ok' I said sitting down on my bed, I felt the mattress sink under me. It's so soft, I lied down feeling so tired, resting a bit. I let out a sigh of relief, so this is where I will live before university.
I suddenly thought about school, about making new friends, wonder if the new school will have any difference with mine. Who cares, school IS school. My thoughts wondered to lunch a while ago, of how awkward the whole thing went. Right after Uncle David said "Dig In".
Everybody started right away probably hungry, after waiting an hour after lunch time. Uncle David and aunt Becca were engaged in a conversation leaving me and boys quiet. When I reached for the food tong for the salad, I bumped at Ryan's hand accidentally. Shocked by the contact he took his hand back quickly. After that, It happend a few times again.
They are really shy to strangers, I tried forming a conversation with them but they would just look at each other to answer the question and it would end up being left unanswered. Sigh* This is going to be kinda tough. After a while of thinking, I dozed off.

I woked up after I hear feet shuffling across the carpet outside my room, I looked outside the window, it's sun setting. I sat up and looked at the view. When the sun was finally set, I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms. I looked around the room, with bags and boxes on the floor, I decided to unpack tonight instead. I stood up and find the bag filled with my clothes, I went to the en suite bathroom, the tiles on the walls are marbled turquoise, with a big bathtub. I changed into some comfy clothes and headed downstairs to the kitchen. I saw aunt Becca cooking in the kitchen. 'Hey, sweetie. You had a nice nap?' she said when she noticed me came in.
'Yep,' so she was the one who was outside my room, wait but what I heard was heavy steps, that shouldn't be her. Meh nevermind. 'Just in time to watch the Sun set.' I continued.
'That's great, Alex. Sorry ,dinner won't be ready in about 15 minutes, could you wait for a while?'
'Um, ok. Do you need help with anything?' I asked , not knowing what to do for that 15 minutes.
'No, but thanks. You can sit and wait in the living room if you don't mind. I'll call you later if It's ready, ok?' She suggested.
'Um, ok sure.' I said disappointed.
I walked out of the kitchen and walked to the living room.
I looked around the room, there's no one here. I looked at the pictures above fire place, I see wedding pictures of Aunt Becca and Uncle David, Family Pictures of them, I looked at every family pictures they had and all of them has the same girl in it. It made me curious, I have never seen her before. I didn't know that they have a daughter, she's really young and pretty. She might be in college now. In all of those pictures, the boys looks so happy around her. The way their smile brought to their eyes, I remembered the short incident with Ryan at lunch. His brown hazel eyes hidden behind those thick black rimmed glasses-until aunt Becca's call interupted my thoughts.
