“Last one there!”, Martinus yells and throws his towel at me before he runs over to the sun kissed cliffs. “F*cling cheater”, I laugh when I’ve finally reached the top. “You’re just a sore loser”, Martinus says and takes off his shirt. “Have you met yourself?”, I ask making us both laugh as I take off my shirt. “When were the girls coming?”, he asks. “In a few minutes”, I say and put out the towels. “Are you worried Astrid won’t come?”. “No”, he mutters. “C’mon Tinus you’ve been flirting back and forth for months”, I say and sit down on my towel. “Isn’t it time to ask her out?”. “I don’t know”, he sighs and shrugs his shoulders. “You’ve always been better at talking to girls”. I laugh a little and smile as we hear the sound of motorbikes coming towards us. We look up and see Astrid and Erica sitting on two motorbikes behind to older boys. “Hi”, Astrid says happily and jumps off the motorbike. “It’s okay that Jonas and Melvin came along right?”, Erica asks. I nod and look at the two boys. They look they’re 19 and we’re 17. They put down their stuff next to us and sit down. “So you’re twins”, Jonas says with a teasing smile, he’s not asking he’s just stating the obvious. “Obviously”, I say irritated. “Is he your favorite twin or what?”, Melvin asks and points at Martinus who’s sitting next to Astrid. “Shut up”, Astrid says but smiles at Martinus. “Maybe”. His cheeks turn red and we all laugh. We swim all day until the sun starts setting. “Can’t you play something?”, Erica asks and looks at me and Martinus. “You brought the guitar, right Marcus?”. I nod and put the guitar in my lap. “The music twins”, Jonas laughs. “But only one can play”. “Martinus plays the piano better than you ever could”, I say and try to ignore Jonas’ mad stares. “Give me a beat Martinus”. Martinus starts patting a beat on the rocks and my hands fly over the guitar. I see how Astrid leans against Martinus’ shoulder and I give him a proud smile. “Okay you’re pretty good”, Melvin says when we’re done. “But who’s the best?”, Jonas asks with a teasing smile.
