Chapter 2: Cristino David

Athena's POV.

"We're finally home," my son shouted. Bigla akong natawa upon looking at him. "Mom, wait. I just get your slippers," he said. Nakita niya kasing nagtatanggal ako ng sapatos.

I nod for an answer.

"Here Mom. Let me help you to wear your slippers," he said and he did help me. My lovely son. At his age I can say that he is a good son.

"Son can you seat beside Mommy?" I ask him.

"Sure, Mom. I can even hug you!" He said and jump on to me.

"Oh! Thank you anak," I said.

"I love you always, Mom," he said and kiss my cheek.

I smiled. Biglang nawala ang lahat ng pagod ko. "I love you too," I said and kiss his cheek.

I know that he is already contented that he have me in his life but I know too how much he wanted to meet his dad. I know that he is longing for a father's love. Kahit hindi niya sabihin sakin I know him very well.

He knew everything about his dad. He knew that he chose someone over me kaya hindi kami nagkatuluyan sa isa't isa. I know he's hurt about that and he know me too how much pain I've felt.

He understand me at his young age. Ganon siya katalino. Kaya nga it such a blessing for me na dumating siya sa buhay ko.

I sigh.

"Mom?"

"Yes anak?"

"Are you fine? Is everything alright?" He asked. Siguro marahil na rin sa tahimik kaming dalawa.

"Yes I am. Why?" I asked him back.

"Wala Mom. Nag worry lang ako," he said which touch my heart.

I kiss his cheek again and smiled at him. I give him my assuring smile that everything is fine.

"May iniisip lang ako," I said.

"What about it?" He asked.

"Well your birthday is getting nearer. So I want to ask you if you really want to go to Philippines just to celebrate?"

"Mom I want to. That is my dream. To go to your place you were born," he said.

"But why? We can celebrate here if you want."

"I want to experience a new atmosphere, Mom. I want to see new place. I know that you are worried that you might see dad but Mom, I just want to celebrate my birthday. I understand your situation. Please Mom," he pleaded.

I sigh again.

Hindi ko na alam ang gagawin ko. I know that I'm already move on and I don't have feelings towards him anymore but the thing is kaya ko na bang pangatawan ang lahat?

Chriss' POV.

"Love hindi ka pa ba tapos sa ginagawa mo? I'm hella bored here."

"Stop! Leave this office now!" Sigaw ko kay Sofia.

"You jerk!" She shout and leave.

"Chriss, what was that? Why you are being harsh to Sofia? Hindi kita pinalaki na bastos!" Mom shouted.

"Mom please stop! She annoys me everytime she's here in my office. She's disturbing me. So what will you expect? Matuwa ako?"

"What I want you to do is show a little care and respect to Sofia."

"No Mom. I say no!"

"Why? Because you still think about that poor girl? C'mon son. Sofia is there. Siya ang babagay na maging asawa mo. Nothing more and nothing less!"

"I don't want Mom! I don't!"

"Tama na yan. Nasa loob kayo ng kompanya at kung ano isipin ng ibang empleyado," Dad said as he got here inside of my office.

"Honey kausapin mo yang anak mo."

"Son nakasalubong ko si Sofia sa labas. Pinagtaasan mo raw ng boses. Tell me, why did you do that?"

"I don't care Dad. I don't! Just please!" I said and leave both of them. Sh*t!
