Chapter 38: Heiress

Athena POV.

"Ako ang magpapatunay na anak ko si Athena!"

Sigaw ng babae na nasa likod ko. It's her. My Mom is here. Napatingin ang lahat sa kanya. Lumapit siya sa gawi namin. Tila napako ang tingin ni Mrs. Belinda Yoo kay Mom.

"A-Ah! Everyone!" Panimula ni Mrs. Yoo. Nakatutok lang kami sa kanya even my Mom.

"I-I want you to meet Mrs. Anita Anicete-Kang. The real owner of Kang Company. Please, let us give her around of applause," she added.

Pumalakpak naman ang lahat. Tinignan lang ako ni Mommy at kinuha ang microphone na hawak ko. Tumingin siya sa gawi ni Mrs. Belinda. Nararamdaman ko ang galit ni Mom. This is my first time seeing her like this.

"Shut up, Belinda!" Sabi ni Mom na ikinagulat ko. She's mad. Ngayon ko lang narinig magsalita ng ganoon si Mommy. I am sure na nagulat rin sila Rain, Janine and Jenny sa ipinapakita ni Mom ngayon. Kilala kasi si Mommy bilang malumanay na tao. We never knew that she has this bad side of her.

"First of all, pumayag ako makipag meeting sainyo but that doesn't mean na tinatanggap ko ang partnership ng company niyo to Kang Company," Mom said. She really sounds so mad.

So they settled a meeting with my Mom alone. I don't know that even my executive secretary. Hindi naman ako galit kay Mom it's just that she should told me everything. But still, I trust my Mom with that. Maybe she have reason why she kept it as a secret from me.

Patuloy lang ako sa pakikinig sa kanila. Ayoko muna makisawsaw sa kung ano man ang bangayan nila though I have the power to stop my Mom from speaking but now? Seeing her so mad, I can't stop her. Pakiramdam ko kapag pipigilan ko siya hindi ko siya mapapahinto.

"But why Tita? I thought we are settled now? I thought that you are already agreed for the partnership?" Singit ni Sofia.

Tita? Tita her ass! Napaka-feelingera talaga niya. Feeling niya close niya lahat ng tao.

"Well then, sinasabi ko sainyo na mali kayo ang iniisip niyo. Hindi ko hahayaan na isa sainyo magkaroon ng partnership between your company to Kang Company. How dare you to asked for a partnership while threatening Athena? How dare you asked that? Sino ba kayo?!" Sigaw ni Mom.

She give me so much protection. Lagi na lang ako ang inaalala ni Mom everytime that I am involved in troubles.

"Anita, wake up! Bakit ba lagi mong pinagpipilitan na anak mo si Athena? She's a gold digger. She can't be your daughter. Ang layo ng personality niya sayo. Ang bastos pa niya. She even not respect --."

"Respect? Anong alam mo sa respeto, Belinda? Do you even hear yourself? Respect? That is a new word, isn't it? Before you say some meaningful words to my daughter, tuturuan muna kita ng sinasabi mong respeto," Mom said. She looked at me and caressed my face with her right hand. She even kissed me in my cheek. Alam ko ang galaw ni Mommy na ganito. She wanted me to stay calm. She want me to know that she can handle this situation.

Tumango ako sa kanya. I want her to know that she got me too kung magkaroon man ng commotion sa event na ito. I am ready to fight not only for myself but for the sake of my company.
