The Dream

"Hurry get the queen to safety!" "Run!" The fire roared with fury as it spread throughout the kingdom. " You'll be safe here" the queen said as she laid the baby down into a basket. The basket is closed and the queen screams as the fire burns everything.
           "Wha-- just.." A girl with light brown hair and sky blue eyes said as she jumps up from her stick and leaves bed. Drenched in sweat she lays back down trying to comprehend what dream had just occurred.

"You okay Crystal?" a voice said.
"Yea, I just had a weird dream." Crystal replies. The voice belonged to her closest friend Zakir, who had a lion like body with bat wings and a deep blue mane and eyes.

"What was your dream about?"
He asked with curiosity.

"Well there was a fire and a queen and then screaming, but they weren't just screaming, they were yelling something like a name." She said as she gets up a dusts off the dirt.
"Well what was the name?" Zakir asked.
"I don't know"

"Okay, while your thinking about that dream which is probably meaningless, let's get something to eat I'm starving" Zakir says as he stretches and yawns.

They get up and head over to a mango tree and pick its fruit. But Crystal couldn't get her mind off that dream. What if that dream means something.. But what if it doesn't.. And Zakir is right. Just then a gunshot rang out through the jungle.
"What was that!" Crystal says clearly terrified.
"Oh no.. No, no, no!" Zakir yells.
"What?" Crystal says confused.
" They came back, after all these years"
"Who?" Crystal says even more confused.
Zaki starts running towards a giant crystal cave where the leader of all the jungle lived.
"Zakir!" Crystal yells " Can you please explain what's happening?!"
"No time for explanation" He says as he gets to the cave.

A shadowy figure comes out and looks at Zakir with concern. 
" What is it? Why are you here?"
Zakir bows a little and says " Father, they have come back"

Zar, Zakir's father who had the same lion like body as Zakir but instead of deep blue and white he was dark red and Grey angered at the news of his son.
"Impossible, we made sure none of their kind could ever reach this jungle."

Crystal runs in and pants. " Yo-- ha-d better have a good explanation for this Zakir" she said out of breath.
Zar looks over her way.

"Do they know she's here?" he asked.
"Who is the 'they' you guys keep mentioning!" Crystal fumed clearly irritated.
"No they don't" Zakir said ignoring Crystal's question.
"And we shall keep it that way."
Zar looks out into the jungle and sighs.
" I will warn the others about this."
"What the heck is happening!" Crystal screamed.

Zar turned around to look at her and as his wings spread open he said "The humans have returned"
