When a mutant "cure" is produced, Charlotte Xavier again finds herself leading the fight against Erik and the Brotherhood, much to her and Erik's mutual regret. Neither want to again oppose the one they love. That does not inhibit them from fighting anyways.
There's one difference from the past, however. This time, it's a fight she gives her life to.
