The sun falls but why can't I?
There's a nascar race inside my mind,
Going in circles faster and faster,
Until my head becomes a disaster.Moon rises and stars expose,
I think until my head explodes.
The pieces fling into the night sky,
And I start to run out of time.Sun comes up and the stars fade,
But here I am, still wide awake.
Desperately I try to catch some z's,
But I can't even get two or three. The sun is out, the world's awake,
But I never slept, for heaven's sake.
My head never stops running circles,
I wish I could send in a missile,
To destroy my head and kill me dead.
