Chapter X - Assault

"It looks like everyone's here,"

Nashi, Storm, Etsuko, Yuni, Adam, Jason, Trinity, Ekaterina, Will, Chad, Antonio and Maki were all gathered in a dark alley close to James's location.

"It looks like there are guards stationed outside," informed Jason, "We'll need a team to take care of them while we're fighting James."

"I volunteer," suggested Maki.

"I guess I'll go to," Chad sighed.

"Oh, and Antonio you're coming with us," ordered Maki as he latched onto Antonio's arm.

"But I wanted to be with all the pretty girls!" complained Antonio, trying to grab onto Nashi but instead getting an angry fiery fist in his face.

"I'll come as well," Storm gloomy joined in.

"What's up with Storm and Nashi?" Adam asked Yuni quietly.

"They had an argument," whispered Yuni.

 "And I'll lead their team," Will Finalised.

"Now go get those guys!" Encouraged Trinity as Will's group jumped out and destroyed the road.

"Come on!" Etsuko insisted, already sneaking forward.

Creeeeek. Jason opened the door as quietly as he could.

"I've been expecting you,"

Jason quickly turned his head only to see James who blasted him with a bright white beam of light. Nashi and Yuni took Jason's place, they attacked from above, however, James made a force field which cancelled out their magic leaving them to fall to the ground. Ekaterina tried punching James consecutively though she missed every single one. Taking advantage of the moment Ivy swung her leg out, James dodged it causing her to hit Ekaterina instead. Trinity morphed her arm into a giant chainsaw, avoiding it James let her hit Ivy, overbalancing Trinity fell on top of Nashi.

"EARTH DRAGONS ROAR" 

From one side Adam roared and from the other side, Etsuko shot two shurikens at James. He dodged, the shurikens hit Adam and the tornado of rocks collided with Etsuko.

When Yuni got up and was about to start clashing with James, Jason shouted out, "Wait! Magic attacks won't work on him."

"Well, aren't you clever!" complimented James, " You see the New World Order aims to rid the world of magic. Around Seven years ago we took a humongous step towards our goal, we discovered Antimagic. Antimagic is the opposite of magic. When magic and antimagic meet they cancel each over out, it's basic maths; 5 + - 5 = 0. In turn, that means the only one of you that could defeat me is Nashi."

3 guards were standing in front of the building, each one with some type of specialised crossbow and shield.

BOOM! Will, Maki,  Chad, Storm and Antonio landed on the road, thoroughly destroying it.

The guards hurriedly sprang into action as Storm launches water spears at them. They block with their shields the water dissolving into nothingness. They then shoot arrows at the Fairytail members which passed straight through Maki's Sand wall and being caught by Antonio. Antonio transforms the arrows into hawks who fly in and steal the crossbows, dropping them in the river. Will teleported behind the guards, roundhouse kicking two of them but missing the third who was about punch will but slowed down incredibly.

"Thanks Chad!" shouted Will as he punched the guard into an innocent building.

I see some explaining is in need. You see Chad uses length magic, he can shorten or enlarge the length of anything for a short amount of time. He can change how long things take so people experience time differently. If he was walking down the street with someone who just pissed him off he could make the length of the road go on ten times longer for that person while still keeping it the same for himself, thus changing the person's view of reality. And that is just the simple explanation because if I explained any further I'll have to talk about quantum mechanics, so for now all you have to remember is that everything is relative.

While the other two guards were down Storm and Maki made giant hammers which squashed them flat. 

"Well that was easier than expected," said Antonio just before he walked into a wall of Anti magic.

I have one question for myself... Why on earth did I ever name James - James? When I was thinking about a name for him the first name that came to mind was James. But why, it's so not a bad guy name, right? I guess there is James from Team Rocket but Team Rocket aren't that evil. So I guess I'll just have to speculate... However, there is some exciting news! My best ranking is #12 in Volume and I've got 260 views YAY!!! Also, This is Chapter 10! Some parts of the story were ideas from KatieLove2Write.
