He had gotten Namjoon's number from Jungkook and had asked the composer if he ever had experienced a behavior of Yoongi like he had. The other told him yes, and that he just needed to give Yoongi some time. The problem would be solved by itself.
Jimin highly doubted that, but what else could he do than believe his boyfriend's teammate and wait. Even if waiting was torturous. The whole week there was nothing else on his mind but Yoongi. The blonde consumed all his thoughts in his free time. It was so obvious that Jungkook even asked him if everything was alright. But when his lover always got the same answer, he stopped asking and acknowledged his absentness with a roll of his eyes.
On Friday, Jimin could no longer bear it and went over to the composer's studios in hopes to find Mr. Bang and ask him for Yoongi. He found the teacher in his office, sorting out a mess of papers on his table.
"Oh, Mr. Park. What can I do for you?" the chubby man asked him nicely and put down the stack of sheets he held.
"I wondered if Yoongi's back," he replied and looked at the older with hopeful eyes.
"I saw him this morning. He apologized for not attending the whole week. I guess he'll be in his studio." Relieved Jimin let out the breath he had held in.
"Thanks Mr. Bang!" he smiled widely and left the office, leaving behind a slightly confused teacher.
He almost ran to the studio and pressed the bell impatiently.
The Yoongi that opened the door was nothing like the one he had met on Monday. This one was dressed in his beloved ripped-jeans and a black t-shirt and had the typical half-lidded eyes and reserved expression, that changed slightly when he looked at his guest.
"Jimin," the composer stated, slightly confused.
"Hi," he grinned. He was so glad to see the other in a better shape that he almost wanted to hug him. But there still was the concern the blonde might avoid his touch like on Monday. "Can I come in?"
"Ahm...yeah." And Yoongi stepped to the side to let him in.
"Are you ready to hear me sing?" he asked the composer and put his backpack and jacket on the couch, before sitting down in one of the office chairs.
"Okay," Yoongi uttered and sat on the other chair, "Then sing for me."
He was a little startled by the sudden go, but after thinking about what he could sing, he decided to sing If I get drunk tonight, for he knew the lyrics by heart and it was the first thing that came to his mind.
He lowered the song by some keys and started to sing. After the first notes, big cat-eyes looked at him in disbelieve, and with a smile he continued until the rap-part. Rapping was something he really could not do, so he stopped; but to his delight, Yoongi started do the part in his husky, unique voice and closed the gap in the song, gesturing him to continue after his part and rolling over to the e-piano to underlie his vocals.
When the song was over, the blonde looked at him speechless.
"Well, what do you think?" Jimin asked shyly.
"Are you kidding me. Why are you a dance student? You should do singing! Your voice in angelic," the composer said and looked amazed. Happy from the praise, Jimin smiled widely. He knew, he was not bad, but shocking one of the composers was one hell of a compliment.
"Thanks, Hyung."
"I have to thank you for giving me such a great voice to work with," Yoongi replied and still looked baffled.
After the little jam session, they took Jimin's vocal range and Yoongi recorded some samples where Jimin had to sing simple melodies which became harder step by step to test his accuracy with intonation. The blonde was mesmerized by his abilities, and Jimin could see the familiar glim in the elder's eyes while they worked on the sampling. Eagerly, he did everything the composer asked of him.
